Incredibly, in some cases where an abnormality is caught early in gestation and it is felt that with proper intervention there is still the possibility of near-normal left ventricle development, heart surgery can be performed on a fetus in utero (without delivering it). That's mindblowing to me. Almost makes me believe in a higher power. Here's the Boston Children's/Brigham and Women's fetal heart surgery program and here's the CHOP general fetal surgery program. Really takes your breath away to think about. I do want to clarify that not all fetuses with developing HLHS are candidates for surgery. It's not a magic pro-life slam dunk. It is fucking amazing, though, and renews my faith in humanity.

Transplant is also an option, but infant hearts for transplant are rare, and that carries its own lifelong risks. I suspect that the South Carolina baby had other things wrong with it, therefore making treatment futile in its own way. :(

I can see a coupe of other potato mums and sentimental Facebook boomer-types buying a handful of them but she's delusional if she thinks there will be a profitable market for these things.

I don't know how people make anything off of these mlm scams. Especially since Monat is pretty notorious for causing scalp damage and hair loss. I think that potato moms just assume it's an instant market with a potential to swell the downline. After seeing LuLaRich I feel bad for anyone who gets sucked in to these things.

By and large they don't. It's the people selling them the scam product who make the money. The suckers end up with unsold mountains of this trash. You only make money at these by victimizing the people below you.

I hate to think how much Paisley's mom has lost on it. Even if she has a big downline I can't imagine the balding shampoo business is exactly booming. That's why her restarting after quitting is so infuriating.

I wonder if Robyn ever looks at Paisley and gets jealous. Because as bad off as she is and as terrible her life is, you can tell even in photos that at least there's something there. Something human and aware of the world, that can interact in respond in her own way that isn't just seizures and reflexes. As oppose to Luna, who even in carefully crafted and manipulated photos is glaringly an empty husk.

Luna is functionally blind and deaf. She cannot distinguish one person from the next from a dog or a table. She is not sensory-seeking because her brain looks like someone spilled ink all over her head CT. Paisley can recognize faces and prefer things. They're leagues apart.

Robyn's copium of choice is pretending souls are personalities. They are not. You can change your personality with hard work to be a better person. (Robyn also seems to believe personality is set.) Luna has a soul. Luna does not have a personality because a personality requires the ability to interact and react to the environment. That requires a brain.
