There's always been a undercurrent of fakeness and gayness to it. I've said numerous times before the "cultre war" aspect is particularly cringe.

However, what's happening now... much like what's happening with Rekieta... is that you're seeing that the figures at the center of things can be just as degenerate as the SJWs they mock. That they make money for mocking.

Does anybody here believe that if the same porno depicted anybody in anti-CG there wouldn't be a three hour Comicsgate Kings stream mocking them for it?

Credit where credit is due: Both Jon Del Arroz and Ciderhype mocked and denounced Richard for this. Unfortunately, it's not exactly shocking to me that most of the rest of CG is silent or wants to downplay it though.

At least Doug TenNapel fulfilled promises to his backers, and didn't tip toe around his politics, or sell out on them. at this point I even have more respect for Mike S miller for knowing when to get in and out and Profit rather thats CG or bitcoin.

To be honest, I’m still kind of fuzzy on why the EVS vs Tim Lim and Doug Earnst beef started in the first place. I always thought it it was them wanting to go there own way and EVS not being happy about it. You know, cuz loyalty and stuff.

I think "going their own way" at the time consisted, in part, of making Trump comics. (My Hero Magademia, etc.) EVS didn't give a glowing endorsement, and there was fallout over it. That's what I remember (although I didn't follow it too closely).

It was the beginning of Sciverfrog filtering out what he thought wasn't going to maximize profits under the pretense of not wanting to get political. He didn't want to scare off the BLTs! But for a guy who just wanted the freedom to do comics and was an admitted Trumpservative, the Lim situation didn't add up. Only from the perspective of grift does this scenario start to make sense.

A little less of the urge to purge and he mighty have been able to keep around the most active indie pro. Would have come in real handy to help distract from all the other delays. Oh wel!

The Tim Lim lore is way back in the 300's of this thread. It had to do with leaking info to Late Night Comics and "the glove". Then Warcampaign, which at the time were FROG's pals and gayops brigade, were used to ridicule Lim and suddenly Trump books were no good. 5 years later due to extensive purges WC are now in the same ex-CG boat as Lim. The "Comicsgate Kings" have an almost entirely new fanbase that wasn't around and don't even know the context of Lim or WC, who just know that FROG says they are bad.

I built a channel to communicate with my remaining audience from DC and by the time I was ready to crowdfund to maintain my ability to create comic books, I was also the second biggest target of SJWs in the comics biz.

Other indie creators were beneath my notice. The idea that they felt I was taking their oxygen struck me as preposterous then and still does. Guys like Tim Lim and whoever was doing that naked ginger chick zombie book were welcome to swim in my wake, but their books weren't selling before ComicsGate Live! began.

Antarctic came to Zack because of Brett R. Smith, who seems to have convinced them that conservative crowdfunders were the solution to their low sales problems. They also made an offer to publish CYBERFROG.

Antarctic wasn't selling very well back then, and if the Trump books were their best sellers, it isn't saying much. They offered to sell their whole business to Richard C. Meyer after Jawbreakers raised $400K. In other words, Zack's half of the profits after publishing and fulfilling Lost Souls was more than enough for Antarctic Press to hand over their whole empire.
