Eh, like mid western knights it's been romanticized and dramatized. Most times if you were executed. They'd have an executioner that would make sure your death was painless (unless it was a fuck you suicide). There's conflicting sources from my research, but there's 2 types. One which is a clean swift chop and is meant to be proof (as in delivered to whoever ordered it), and the other more "honorable"(think open casket/public execution) is slicing of the nape to sever the spinal cord. For those too cowardly, they were allowed to have a fan and open it to "hide" the stabbing and it would signal the executioner to go. I don’t think that’s going to happen. I think that honestly takes too much effort for him to do. What he WILL continue to do is say that his sexuality isn’t straight, which I’m not believing.
