I did notice that one of the top mods posts in tran subreddits often.

There is another smaller subreddit https://old.reddit.com/r/Star_Trek/ that allows for actual discussion for the most part. But it looks like it just got banned (only found out while writing this). I know the Startrek mods whined about harassment from star_trek because people posted their ban messages from the main subreddit.

Reminded me of that time they made obese failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate (who identifies as the governor of Georgia) Stacey Abrams the President of Earth in Star Trek. People hated disco because it was shoved down everyone's throats for several years. Once the average American saw a large group of people hating it they realized they weren't alone in their hate. It had nothing to do with faggots or niggers liking it. This talking point only started being circulated on reddit in the last few years.

Historical revisionism. The face of disco to 90% of people in the 1970s was the entirely white beegees. It's almost certain very few of them even knew it was rooted in gay/black culture at all. This was before the internet and unless you were involved in those scenes or really cared enough to read magazines about music you would never have known. The reason people turned on it was it being overplayed

Disco was the 70s version of Dubstep. It was everywhere and almost everyone fucking hated it. I remember my parents ranting about it always playing on the radio.

When people thought black dance music they didn't think disco, they thought Soul Train. Came on every Saturday with big names in black and mainstream music and at the end they'd have people dance down the middle. Sometimes you'd see some great dancers, mostly it was shit like this:

That's just fleischsalat. I used to work at a German deli/butcher and we used to make it with the leftover ends of baloney, veal loaf, olive loaf and kielbasa loaf that couldn't go through the meat slicer. It was always a big seller but I have no idea why.

I do recall some retarded racist bait memes and one guy who posted literal shit, but the mod of star_trek (who was a sperg in his own right) was removing them. They were probably posted by the people trying to get the subreddit taken down.

The r/Star_Trek sub was not right-wing. It was infiltrated by some right-wingers and people in that sub did what we could to combat them.
The same thing can happen to any subreddit, and has happened to many.
