I'm sorry Labelle but if that's how you dress IRL, you look like a clown. In the poster, you've literally paired an incredibly mannish t-shirt with a frilly feminine skirt on Stephie - both of those elements clash and look hideous. Also it looks like she is wearing JEANS rather than leggings under her skirt which just looks even MORE silly.

Honestly this doesn't surprise me in the slightest, everything about Labelle from the comic to the messages she tries to put out just smacks of this childish egotism that most people grow out of by age 8 maximum. It's this idea that everything she says and does is the 'correct' way of doing things and anyone who disagrees is just a meanie who isn't going against her because she's wrong (since in her mind she's not) but because it's a personal vendetta against themselves as a person. That type of person will typically dress like a child or an edgelord because "It's not me that's wrong, it's the rest of the world!!"

Let's not forget, Stephie is more or less Sophies self insert into "Where everyone agrees with me eventually land". Starting to think that Stephie is also the same age that Sophie thinks she is mentally herself. She feels like she's an 11-12 year old and never really grew up.

New comic @Hat
and this time, he's going on about trannies being targeted by cops again, classy.

Some cops are transphobic so let's just bitch at the whole profession and get triggered when someone talks about becoming a cop. Even if he's already been brainwashed non transphobic and could help make things change, why bother? Changing things through dialogue and actual work wont cut it, awful strawmen are the way to go. Yeah that's some great activism right there Guillaume.

Jesus Christ, it never stops. I can't even see the point of this comic, it's just there to shit on something because MUH TRANSPHOBIA without any kind of analysis, objectivity or at least some sanity. It's full-blown madness/shitpost, and Sophie's face make it pretty obvious

Good job Guillaume, proving that you are entitled and self-centered enough to shit on the people that enable you to not get beaten to death by hoodlums due to your obvious wealth and privilege. But that's I guess what happens when you happen to be a smug Quebecois who only uses the whole tranny thing for attention who also really sucks at using both French and English to convey a point.

No wonder even other Quebecois want you gone.

Because Frank lives solely for Stephie's approval, he will change his career goals to Firefighter. Stephie is horrified, because firefighters are tans-exclusionary boys clubs where toxic heteromasculinity is the expected norm.

Also did you know firefighters are 100% more likely to leave trannies behind in burning buildings?

If someone from a group does a bad thing (for example, if one policeman out of X amount of policemen protests an LGBT pride festival because he's homophobic or w/e) then Sophie will automatically tar all members of that group with the same brush.

Like I said, she did that to me simply because I'm a member of here and someone had jokingly mentioned bringing a knife or something to one of her UK talks. I would never physically hurt anyone, for the record, but Labelle seems to think I would and that we're all evil and transphobic here (despite the fact that we have transgender members on this forum who aren't complete nutjobs).

Is Copblock a good representation of police mentality in the US?

I'm trying to think about the difference with Quebec police, but my interactions with them were short. They were sneakily trying to find something to frame us, usually, always failing.

Most police here in the US are fine. They're a lot more jittery nowadays, but that's mostly because it's impossible for them to do anything without having to worry someone is going to put them on youtube with a misleading title. If you didn't do anything really bad they won't give you a hard time unless you're an asshole.

Honestly I'd like to see Sophie's citations on this. Even racial profiling, which is greatly overblown, is a much bigger problem in US police departments than transphobia.

The police in Quebec is fine too. That cop must have been annoyed at: '' You're just arresting me because I am trans. You fucking transphobe. '' if he have ever talked to the police.

You've got some shitty cops like the NYPD but for the most part they're pretty okay. Times are changing in the US and so are all the people in it. You can think this Caitlyn Jenner crap is annoying all you want, but it's changing public opinion and making trans people seen as more normal.

"So, what should I write about today? I'm running out of ideas... Ah, ofcourse, I can bitch about police targeting transpeople! But how on earth am I going to bring this into the conversation? I don't want to finish the current storyline - not before whatshisname gets some of my - I mean Stephie's - girldick! How am I going to bring up the topic of police brutality against transwomen since the kids are holed up in the snowy mountains at a camp?"

First, our regularly scheduled update.

And now, at long last, a French translation of our edits.

The French translation has now been discontinued. It had a good run of two pages.

On the subject of posting the French version of stuff, I don't think it's really a worthwhile endeavor to post the French version just so our resident Francophone can critique Sophie's grammar. That seems really nitpicky considering at this point we're mostly uncovering the same things about the way she tends to write and the content of the comics is unchanged.

I'll keep that in mind, my apologies.

On topic - I have decided I'm gonna start adding headers to my edits. Today's one is titled, "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". If the headers being there distract from the overall flow and look out of place, let me know and I'll stop adding them.

Yeah, I mean, I'm putting out for you, but really, there's not much to critique of her french, that was what I thought too. I don't mind taking five minutes to explain, but after I while I'll just repeat myself. I'll probably say the same thing every single comic:

She writes in Quebec french, not standard french, which limits her international audience (a good thing). Also, she messes up here and there by translating from English instead of rewriting from scratch.

What the hell has Labelle even done to get beaten by cops? I'm pretty sure cops don't just beat people for simply being something they don't like, chances of that are small.

Tarred them all with the same brush, told them they were oppressing her and not giving her the speshul treatment she so desperately requires, probably refused to co-operate too.

I'm going to guess "No news reports, because tranny." You'd think a political figure, no matter how insignificant, would be parading that around.

The Labelleverse is a dark and scary place. And those that orbit it (Kimchi Cuddles, Manic Pixie Nightmare Girls, TranssexualLiam...) are just as terrible. Though I'm sure the last one will be regulated to Pluto status because it's a FtM...
