General GunTuber thread

Ian saying what we're all saying.
He did miss potentially the most important point about the numbers of these freshly minted SBRs though, the issue is not (at least outside of a congressional hearing) that at the ATF isn't tracking them down. That's all fluff.

The issue is that with this ruling the ATF has CREATED, overnight, millions of SBRS. In civilian hands.
Anyone remember the common use test? How many millions does it take?

The ATF has already said they don't plan on putting any resources into actively pursuing any braces. It's just gonna be Bubba getting arrested at the public range cause he doesn't keep up with the news, or Jamal getting a federal charge on top of existing charges.
The bigger issue is all the Fudd's slurping Fed dick, tripping over themselves to report someone for good boy points, you are correct.

The stupid tests don't matter. It comes down to how the courts feel about deregulating extra dangerous bad guy guns. If the courts actually gave a shit about "tests" or precedent there wouldn't be any problems overturning almost all gun control after the Bruen ruling. The NFA is the scared cow of US gun control and I wouldn't bet on them touching it anytime soon.

Yeah, all the people that think this SCOTUS are going to touch the GCA or NFA are living a pipe dream, I'm afraid.

Lets say that the impossible happens and it does get struck down? A ton of States overnight are going to enact their own versions like we've seen NY do and no matter how much shade the SCOTUS throws at them, they won't change.

"You got papers for that brace and can boi?"

Can't just have a relaxing day at the range anymore.
Best part of owning a bunch of land? No niggers.

Second best part? Shooting what I want, when I want. Public ranges are trash.

I think this may be the first time Ian has gotten this political officially. I wonder how this will affect the noguns eurofags who think guns should be illegal except for "experts" like him, but don't realize he only exists because we don't have their #shithole gun laws?

In the long run this would be good. The ideological segregation of this dysfunctional country will accelerate.

The common use test is a joke and I can't think of a single instance where it was actually applied after the initial decision and if it was ever actually applied the entirety of the NFA tax bullshit would be thrown down the dump.
Exactly, and we have a 2A-friendly SCOTUS currently.

We'll be fine. I've given up in trying to understand the minutiae of US gun laws, depending on state or inanity they often make Euro gun laws look outright sensible. I mean, I still don't fully understand the situation of handgun stocks (imagine not having stocks or having to pay a premium for Stechkins, C96s or your Spanish copies).

Discussing gun laws with Americans is useless, it's too much of a .... existential problem for them. But regarding collectors, not all Europe is the UK, and sometimes a license is a useful tard filter. Machineguns and .50 cal, that's what I envy tho.

I remember like 10-12 years ago Classic Arms had a giant inventory of Kimel AP-9 polymer frames for $14.95 each. 10 actual functional pistol frames that you could theoretically build guns on, vs. a paperweight with an e-celeb signature on them, for the same price. Really makes you think.

As far as "patent limbo" goes, the bankruptcy was Chapter 7, so all assets were sold to pay debts. Somebody out there has the H9 patent. I doubt they'll do anything with it.
It's been basically confirmed that Daniel Defense has the H9 stuff, to the point of them putting out customer opinion feelers about an aluminum and a poly version. 2020 surely derailed those plans and who knows if we'll ever see anything.
What exactly was it that was supposed to make the H9 so amazing and groundbreaking? A slim grip and a low bore axis?
Low (ish, as everyone says) bore axis, 1911 grip angle if that's your thing and 1911esque straight pull trigger. Ever the contrarian, I actually have an H9, bought on super fire sale after the bankruptcy. My range was blowing out the mags for like $7.50 each too. I.... lllllike it? Kind of. Minor reliability problems and goddamn is it easy to break stuff taking the frame apart. Some of the MIM parts have awful designs.

It shoots okay, especially swapped for the alu frame. It sure doesn't shoot $1200 okay or whatever the original pricetag was.

Oh yeah, the sights from the factory were fucking retarded. There was some cope about 'it's a combat hold' or something, but I think they just ordered the wrong shit from Trijicon.
