The E8 was the worst looking Sherman, fact.
Yeah, well, that's like, just your opinion, man.

they don't even make sense, since afaik sand skirts only saw use in north africa and then never again, hell this carries over to enlisted since they just reused the models from war thunder there.
Anyone who wasn't German didn't bother with anything like that since they were just a massive headache when it came time to perform routine maintenance on the suspension and tracks.

Best Sherman is of course, the M4A1 with the FL-10 turret made by Bat-Chat. Sexy curves, autoloader, oscillating turret.

You may have been playing with bots.
I recently (5 months ago) started a new account on a new Steam account in case shit went wild for my main one, the first battle you join seems to be with/against bots with actual players in the game as well. Other than that I've never had problems finding player based 1.0 games, in arcade anyway.

Don't remember what I had mentioned last on this thread (France) but Gaijin 'apparently' fixed the memory leak issue or whatever it was causing the usage in RAM spike after 30~ mins of gameplay to 400%-1000% over normal usage, seems to be the case but I still get microstutters time to time, thats why you dont write spaghetti code I suppose.

I had taken a break except taking daily rewards, but got back into playing in the last 2 days and it was nice to have something different to play for a change (game wise), I absolutely love the T26E5. Current lineup is M4A3 (76W), M4A3E2 (76W), T26E5, M18 and P-47D-22RE, planning to replace overtiered Jumbo with T25, Easy 8 with M26 and the Hellcat with Bulldog. P-47 has been such good CAS that I havent even given thought to grinding the F4U-1C or Rank V Jets, the USA is just such a powerhouse at 5.3-6.7 Ground RB, low repair costs, well balanced tanks, decent teams and more than excellent CAS.

Coming from a Germany main

I downloaded War Thunder mainly for the F-16s since Top Gun and Rising Storm gave me an appreciation for Cold War jet fighters. But seems it’s paywalled. What is the best game for dogfighting in jet fighters, and for WW1 biplanes?

Assuming you are gonna play the US, none of the early planes are very bad, just play around with them until you find the type of plane you prefer, most of the US fighters are boom and zoom planes, meaning you climb in the beginning, then dive down at the enemy, swooping back up away from them after your attack run is over. They also have a couple decent turn fighters, but not many.

Also after rank 4 a premium account is basically required. The repair costs for many higher tier planes are so expensive there's a 50/50 shot that you won't earn enough in a game to repair it.

Falcon 4 is on Steam. I had more fun playing Falcon BMS with fellow autists than I ever did DCS.

And those turn fighters like the Bell designs do surprisingly well because nobody expects the USA to have planes that can turn-fight at low-alts or have cannon.

Frankly the lack of high-alt combat really screws over the USA (especially in RB) because there's no way to force your opponents to climb to 20k feet where their turbos are already starting to suffocate.

Yup. The point of the daylight bombing raids was to force the Luftwaffe up to ~25k where the bf109 actually kind of sucks.

Imagine if they had to intercept b29s escorted by p47-n's, lol.
