He's never had an actual relationship, he has no friend group to speak of, his coworkers don't want to associate with him, there's literally been no one to take mommys place and light a match by him so he can catch fire and clue in. He thinks he's 15 that's why he talks to teenagers and plays with childrens toys all day, so he thinks putting on a new shirt couple times a week is "cleaning".

autists tend to struggle with hygiene in general from my experience. I don't know why, I think it has to do with a lack of awareness making it difficult for them to notice when they need a shower? either way, that doesnt mean they're unable to be taught. autists eat up stable routines like candy, especially when they're children. ive seen plenty of perfectly clean and hygienic autistic people who can keep themselves fresh because they actually invest the time and effort into learning to improve upon it.
chibi is not that kind of autistic person. he's had 0 parental guidance his entire life (no his mom doesnt count, all she does is make excuses for him and encourage using his disorders as a scapegoat) and he's too fucking annoying and gross to have a friend who can come to him and say "yo man no offense but you stink. you need some deodorant" and even if he did have someone like that i dont think he'd give a shit as he seems to lack completely the ability to recognize when he's bothering other people with his presence (agdq, loudly speedrunning at 3am in his moms house, loudly streaming into the night with his tour group in japan, etc.)
tl;dr autism isnt an excuse to be a greasy, smelly disgusting mongoloid. he could easily improve his hygiene through effort and time but he doesn't give enough of a shit to. he has more important things to do, like speedrunning paper mario and sending pictures of his dick to children on the internet.
