While I would be inclined to agree with your take on it, I will repeat myself that I think Crowder's manager is carrying a lot of the blame for what went on because from what godking said, he didn't ask for anything and just wanted "the offer". It seems like he got AN offer and thought that was it? I can't blame Crowder then for going ballistic after his manager was a lazy fuck and couldn't be assed to at least engage in negotiations.

Bringing this back to Nick, I did find it funny when he tried to compare it to his Rumble and Locals contracts, but it's the only frame of reference he has about this sort of thing. Obviously, the money Crowder and The Daily Wire are playing with is nowhere near what Nick was negotiating for, so the expectations are going quite different as it pertains to freedoms and whatnot. To be fair to Nick, he did acknowledge that they're not on the same playing field, but then he kept on saying how his contract had pretty much no expectations or ownership, as long as he delivers a certain amount of shows, which is super awesome. Ya don't say! As was already mentioned, the amount Crowder could lose from being penalized is probably more than what Nick's whole contract is worth, so they're not even on the same planet with this stuff.

Nick, while admitting he is nowhere near that league, might fancy himself as having the potential for it. And if he didn't drift to coomer side, he very well might have had the potential for successes of that height.

$100k is several orders of magnitude higher than his nightly take in Rumble rants, and Rumble's cut would be a fraction of that. A $100k penalty for missing a show when he's guaranteed them 13 shows per month or ~150 shows over the course of a year would be insane.

Just looking at the numbers like that, $100k for a year's worth of streaming could very well be in the right ballpark.

I don't see any reason to believe Nick's commentary about his numbers anymore. His story has changed multiple times.

When discussions first started with Rumble/Locals about an exclusivity deal, he talked openly about it. Then he did the same thing he did with the Rittenhouse interview where he sperged at someone asking for news about it and said that he will announce the news as soon as it happens. Not hard to take away from that that the negotiations were going poorly at that point. Then he did the stream where he played hardball by whining about the negotiations and said something along the lines that he would be prepared to make 50% of YT revenue on Rumble, but not 25%, which was what Rumble were offering. Then he signed a deal.

Then he announced to the effect that 2023 would be a bigger year for him than 2022 even if he didn't stream at all. I took that to mean that (Rumble deal + sponsorship revenue) > YT super chat revenue, which, frankly, I don't believe for a single second. Playboard scrapes that shit. We know the ballpark of what he would have to make for that be true, and I don't see him coming close. Even if he was excluding trial content from that number, he was grossing $1.5-2k per night in superchats on the night show in the time right before the YT banning, per Playboard.

I think a subtext to this is that Rekieta occasionally makes statements to try to dunk on certain people on the fruit farm (shout out to @Potatoherder) who discuss his social media strategy and numbers, and it's hard to tell what statements are meant to be informative as opposed to dunks.
