How likely is it that Daily Wire would have access to the details of Crowder's previous deal with Blaze?
Crowder obviously left Blaze because he didn't feel they were paying him what he was worth. But if the Daily Wire had access to the details of that contract, they'd at least have an idea what another big player in that market thought he was worth.
At some point, if Crowder believe's he's worth massively more than the Daily Wire wants to pay him, then he surely won't have any problem finding somebody else to pay him that sort of money. Surely people would be falling over themselves to snatch up that contract and milk Crowder's money cow.
And if Crowder believes he's worth that sort of coin, why would he not set up his own operation and keep all of the bag for himself?
For years, I always thought the Mug Club was Crowder's own project. I had no idea he was working for Blaze. But if you can pay people to produce your show, why not just add on a couple of additional salaries to process payments and ensure that your shows get uploaded to the sites they're supposed to be uploaded to? The reason why you wouldn't is because that shit is actually a.) hard and b.) risky. Which is why you're going to the DW in the first place. That's precisely why they get to take their slice.
Crowder's a conservative. He's supposed to believe in markets. Ultimately, the market will decide how much Crowder is worth, but he seems to think that if he can persuade his audience to REEEE loud enough, it'll impress on the DW that the numbers they think he's worth are completely wrong. It wouldn't convince me, and it doesn't seem to be convincing the people at DW either.
