I think that is indeed somewhat the case. As far as I know it, NPC's are "supposed" to call the police when they see you commit a crime, but since Rockstar left a value in the code out, the cops just automatically know you committed a crime without the NPC actually calling them. I believe this extends to both human and animal NPC's which is why you basically get an instant one star after punching someone.
It's a crime how much worse cops became in GTAV compared to GTAIV.
In GTAIV there always was a delay to getting a wanted star, do it secluded and you could avoid a wanted star, do it in front of a cop car and they would immediatly respond. I miss the cops trying to arrest you, I miss the cops trying to pit maneuver you and dragging you out of your car. I miss the fat cops awkwardly chasing you, or the SWAT teams pouring out of the police van with helmets that you can shoot off.

The cops in Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars are fun to run over. GTA V seems very off.

it's PS3 launch all over again.
i'll have to quote a great man about this issue:

oh and i found the forum and they've been talking about it, funny how it is protected by cuckflare...

I feel like I dodged a bullet since I finished GTA V just before this becomes known, since there are people saying this affects story mode too. But still, good thing I never touched online at all so my account's ID isn't plastered in public.

They've literally turned GTA Online into a Hot Wheels playground. The physics don't even work well with the loops and ramps.

Also, why give players tools to grief each other, yet punish people defending themselves from griefers? Make it make sense, R*.
Nothing more frustrating than driving on a loop only for your car to clip through and snag on part of the track. Not sure whether to blame shitty track placement or R*'s shitty physics.

Second best wanted system is IV with its AOE "wanted" detection on the radar. V had to add cones and prolong its exposure. Please explain to me how I could murder somebody in the middle of the desert and have half of Blaine County on my ass?
Same reason you killed everyone in "Times Square" in IV but had the police drop the chase if you ran 4 blocks away...

Isn't GTA V functionally the same wanted level under the hood, just with a way worse UI and some stupid ass omniscient AI?
Yep. V's omniscience is a knee-jerk reaction to IV's easy police.

The fucking Rockstar Support replied and told him to disable his anti-virus and firewall...

In watch dogs the cars handle with weight like real cars and you only get cops called on you if someone literally calls them (which you can steal the phone out of their hand and throw it on the ground).

(watch dogs was always better than gta v)
The car sound effects were really bad in Watch Dogs 1 and 2, especially the horns, they all sounded like cheap samples with bad loop.

Only way R* does something is if this raises enough bad press. Of course, they removed certain dialogue because it offended a minority population.

Apparently, whatever57010 was able to unbrick his account by using a mod menu after trying various "official" methods and dealing with Rockstar support.
Fight fire with fire. I wouldn't put it past R* to take action on THOSE accounts. When the community does a better job at preservation, you know you fucked up.

It's a bit Zoomerish, but Mors Mutual Insurance is becoming a favorite for just taking the shit out of how awful this shit has become.
Mors and Whatever are my two favorite GTA content creators right now. Criminal is alright, but a lot of his content is for the grinders.

Doing taxi work is fun and would have been a nice time waster back when I was waiting for friends to finish stuff or waiting for cooldown timers eons ago. I'm not going to work taxi online, when I can hop on FiveM, do a funny voice and have loads more fun with that.
