I got wasted tonight (still am) and emailed my faggot Democratic congressman tonight. I asked him what, as a personal experience, the room was like watching McCarthy getting his cornhole tossed for a few days prior to confirmation.

If I get a response I vow to post it here, even if you'll know the general part of the country I'm in.

Prolly gonna be gay anyways.
You'll probably get "generic response Q" that was sent by a poorly paid intern.

SORRY, too late for that.

visa has been dipping its toe in the cryptocurrency waters the last few years, but the sector-wide fallout dubbed the crypto winter has had little effect on the company, soon-to-be-ex-CEO Al Kelly told shareholders at Tuesday's Visa annual meeting.
The crypto world has been rocked by bankruptcies and allegations of fraud at FTX. Still, bitcoin has enjoyed a bit of a rebound this year, trading at $23,000 Tuesday after starting the year around $16,500. Bitcoin lost almost two-thirds of its value in 2022.
“The crypto space has certainly been in the news, with a number of high-profile failures in the last year,” Kelly told investors. “We’ve had no credit losses related to these failures. We’ve had an immaterial amount of investments in crypto funds and companies as we seek to invest in the payments ecosystem.”
That said, crypto's role in the Visa universe is set to grow larger, Kelly indicated.
“It’s very early days, but we continue to believe that stable coins and central bank digital currencies have the potential to play a meaningful role in the payments space, and we have a number of initiatives underway.”
Visa (NYSE: V), which has several partnerships globally with crypto companies, is supporting the ability to purchase crypto currencies and NFTs on Visa cards as well as the ability to use Visa cards to turn crypto or stable coins into fiat currency that can be spent with the more than 100 million merchants around the world that accept Visa.
“In everything we do, please know that we’re extremely focused on maintaining the integrity of Visa’s payment system and the payment system in totality and of course, the reputation of our brand standing for trust,” Kelly said.
Kelly’s comments came at Visa’s last annual meeting that he’ll lead as CEO. On Feb. 1, Visa President Ryan McInerney will become CEO and Kelly will take on the role of executive chairman.
“He’s a real expert in the payments business. He is widely known to our clients around the world and he’s very deeply respected by his colleagues,” Kelly said of McInerney. “He has been president for 10 years, and he has been my close partner since I joined the Visa executive team in October of 2016.”
Visa is playing a growing role in the fintech ecosystem, as a partner, investor or an outright acquirer.
“We’re really operating the only at-scale, global domestic and cross-border money movement network that reaches the majority of people on the planet,” McInerney said in a 2021 interview with the Business Times.
As major companies have moved their San Francisco headquarters out of state, McInerney also has been outspoken in his commitment to keeping the company’s headquarters in San Francisco, with a new headquarters under construction in Mission Rock.
“We feel that we’re able to do what we do even better because we’re based here in San Francisco,” McInerney said in the 2021 interview. “We remain committed to being here in the Bay Area. We view it as a strength and differentiator.”
At the annual meeting longtime board members Mary Cranston, former senior partner at the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, and Robert Matschullat, former worldwide head of investment banking at Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., retired from the board this year. Both have served on Visa’s board since October 2007, ahead of the company’s 2008 initial public offering.

I see reading comprehension ain't your forte. I mentioned vote count not because I gave a shit about them. I know they mean nothing if they are all concentrated in a few places. What I do mean by mentioning them is that in the same election, both Biden and Trump broke King Nigger's record and I find it incredibly dubious that those numbers could be reached organically, specially with a candidate hiding in a basement and getting pathetic crowds when dragged out.

But hey, of you are enough of a delusional faggot to believe that the 5 problem states had "some issues" and "they are totally sorted now" and they didn't steal the presidency right in front of your face, then yeah sure, vooote harder.

Also, seeing how Kari got fucked and the brain dead giant won, I find it hillarious that you think things are all under control now.

You are right, only the 5 states that you mention matter, too bad that the rigging engine is set up and ready to do it's thing in a couple of years and the Rino's will do fucking nothing about it. Trump cannot win unless he gets the GOP to stop being a bunch of faggots and actually pursue irregularities. Yes, I want Trump, but 2020 was a fluke, they learned their lessons and they will fucking burn the country before letting him touch power again.

As of now, and after 2022 dashed my optimism on stopping a steal, Trump has 0 chances of getting the presidency. The plan of getting enough of his people in goverment ended with mixed results and Mitch has shown clearly who owns the purse. The judges have also shown they won't rock any boats, no matter how blatant. I hope I'm wrong and I know Trump won't just curl up and die, but I've yet to see his win condition.
The only person with reading comprehension issues here is you. Go be a blackpill faggot somewhere else.

This makes sense though. Saudi Arabia sees the writing on the wall. Oil & nat gas demand will slowly decrease in the next couple decades. They need to start looking for other economic footholds. Then again its the middle east so they could always count on proxy wars for cash.

"Oh fuck, my witty retort was completely off base and I have to save face!". OK sunshine, keep believing you don't live in a banana republic.
right? If McCarthy keeps this up I got words I gotta eat.
I'd give it a few months longer till I start munching crow. I still remember when I thought Cruz and Graham had decided they liked winning and that take aged like milk.

Right now we are in the performative phase where they can scream A or B and know it won't pass or have consequences. Now if Schiff goes on a news round to cry and whine nonstop about this I'll take it as a good sign.

It's all good signs that the FC have succeeded in keeping McCarthy honest, also a -very- good sign that the FC is maintaining their threats to act against him. But McCarthy has to be working to undermine them so keep some caution here.

When did A&H get a tranny mod?
As loath as I am to defend any sort of mod staff, from what I can tell the mod in question doesn't like it when threads devolve into two sides arguing past each other.

Ukraine-related threads tend to devolve into such things.

Me, I personally love it when that happens. You get to see who can actually make a cogent point, and who just pretends they can so they can sling crap at their perceived forums enemies and then cry to the mods like bitches when they're made to look like fools. It's very Something Awful when that happens.

from the Ukraine thread

DirectTV is in steep decline and there is questions if the company can actually survive the wave of cord cutting that is happening right now. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/01/11/directv-lays-off-staffers-as-cord-cutting-accelerates-.html DirectTV just cut its Sunday NFL packages because it was unprofitable and lost about a half million subscribers in the last quarter alone. Their act of discontinuing Newsmax is likely more about cost cutting than anything to do with their embrace of left/right politics. Ultimately this just accelerates the decline because most of the channels on TV are just filler material, something that even boomers seem to recognize and opt to cord cut in favor of streaming services. Legacy TV media is dying at high speed and I'm not really sure how its going to be replaced.

Exactly. And exactly why I cut the cord. When the monthly bill for basic cable and internet hit $300 a month a couple of years ago, that sealed the deal. Snip! Went to streaming (which includes high speed internet) and bought HD antennas for local channels. Under $100 a month.

Don't watch a lot of TV and not a sports junkie. Why pay bloated costs for shit I never watched anyway?

Their business model is fucked and dying.

Yeah I'm not getting my hopes up too soon. I'll be cynical and jaded but I do want to be wrong about being cynical and jaded.

Is McCarthy smart enough to be able to undermine the FC through? Sure he is a political animal that works his way up the chain but that was during the old GOPe way and has never dealt with the new "Fuck you, we know what we want" FC.
