RWBY - The Hindenburg on which Rooster Teeth rests its hopes, dreams and future

"Dunking on RWBY fans."

Low hanging fruit. Go to ANY forum or subreddit jacking off to RWBY. You'll wish to get that time back and forget they ever existed. They make bronies look well adjusted and mature.

Also, lol, I chuckled when it comes to "ethical consumption". As Velma has begrudgingly shown, they're only as left wing as it's convenient. Not because leftists or leftism is inherently virtuous (it fucking isn't), but because it's a youthful trend or means to an end. These shallow fucks would buckle down from pressure. It's the true believers that you have to watch out for.
And can you find those true believers among the RWBY fans?

Heres some rwby tweets. Also why do they feel the need to niggerfy white characters, i just cant wrap my head around it.
You diss Arcane on Netflix, yet you forget one thing: Arcane is actually good.

For a bigger LOL - check the timelines and see if people complaining about "ethical consumption" about RWBY are also boycotting the Harry Potter game.

They're both being released by the same company - so if you sub to crunchyroll for RWBY you're helping kill trannies by giving JK Rowling money. It's technically more ethical for a leftist to pirate RWBY lmao.

I cannot even begin to express how utterly uninterested I am in this season. Alice in Wonderland is the most uninspired source of inspiration to pull from, especially in such a literal way, and it feels like yet more of Eddy and Kiersi's retarded obsession with literally adapting fairy tales in the show. Except it's not even a fairy tale.

It's trying so hard to be visual eye candy and trippy but it all rings so hollow, and I cannot fathom the fucking retard ape brain you have to have as a writer to feel like what season 9 of your show needs is yet another fucking filler arc where the characters self reflect in a nonsense realm that doesn't matter and will do nothing but plop them back where they should have been at the end of season 8. And, as if that wasn't all bad enough, this is very likely going to be the final season ever produced because WB can't wait to march RT to the fucking gallows for a long overdo execution.

I guess there's some small amount of pleasure to be gleaned out of the fact that this would the last possible thing RWBY could fuck up as a piece of multimedia storytelling. When you've made every possible misstep you could, ruined every character, fucked up every story arc, a premature cancellation and no ending is about all you can do to actually hit rock bottom.

What a delicious and sordid trainwreck this whole company and IP has been, all the way to the fucking end.

TBH, not being a fairy tale isn’t an issue because this shoe has been taking everything from the public domain without understanding how it works since day one.

As for the aversion to Alice in Wonderland, I never understood it unless the answer is that “trippy and psychedelic visuals, man” is an excuse to do whatever without thinking, when I believe even the original story had some form of rules and logic (I think it was rooted in mathematics since that was Lewis Carroll’s background).

I’ll hold off on the filler comments until we get actual airing. But if the formula of the trailer being the first few episodes holds true, may not be a good thing. Honestly, I’d say the only real thing of interest is “How will Ruby Rose be upstaged and screwed out of character development this time?”

Honestly, an openish-ended “go to this place” that V3 and V5 had may be the best way to end this volume if you’re worried about the end. Gives fanfic writers a way to pick up the pieces.

Season 4. Nothing happened, they walked a lot. I typically have a good memory for media, but outside of q combined 20 minutes of content, I couldn't tell you a fucking thing that happened that season that mattered
We saw Ilia for the first time and saw Blake was a princess from not Hawaii. And thirsty fans got introduced to her mother Kali.

Also, Yang got a new arm.

And Jaune got weapon upgrades that started a discourse in the fandom.

And we learned about the Brothers and the Relics.

Things happened. Just not a lot looking back.

Outside of Blake and Yang's arm, I did not even remember any of that happening.

Considering how the plot has gone the last two volumes I'll probably enjoy it more if it is a filler season. Not like RWBY is much of a time sink either. I'm still just so disappointed with this series, Volume 6 was a big improvement over 4 and 5 and 7 was going the right direction for a while too before completely ruining everything in those last two episodes. 8 I didn't hate at least.

There was also family drama where Weiss' last name comes from her mother, her dad basically married into the family just for the prestige, and her brother is some scheming little shit.

Man, this series really went off the rails as the season went on. First it was anime-inspired adventures in a school setting. Then it went into a major storyline arc with a chief villain, character deaths, and plot twists. Now it seems to have diverted from the "kill the Big Bad" quest to some filler season.

RWBY lacks focus without Monty. Preaching to the choir, but it does say something when your show was created by and ran by someone who seemed to thrive in conditions seen as horrendous (or at least could go a long time without complaining about it).

Does it truly deserves to continue though ?
As a Zoomer that grew up on this... yea. It's a dumpster fire, but it's MY dumpster fire. I've read the manga, bought tons of fan art as really young weeb when I was just getting into anime- say what you want, I still love it.
