Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.

-Linus didn't watch DarkViperAU's response to him starting a react channel, but he read the comments in that video. He also had the new Wan show writer watch the video to give him some bullet points and doesn't seem to realize DarkViper seemed to praise the way Linus was going to run the react channel with muh ethics or whatever faggotry. Linus also pulls the "we need the channel because I have 100 people with mouths to feed" which is always the response of an idiot. Oh but he apologized on twitter or something so that's all taken care of.

-In the upcoming Intel Arc video you can apparently see Linus mouth the script Luke reads off of, which makes everything feel more fake and gay and leaf

-there's a pointless smug liberal leaf moment about Microsoft's eco save mode and Fox News, where it shows Linus can't even get his new hires to follow the rules and interjects too much opinion into the topic. Using straw man leaf logic they pretend just changing things in the home page is too much, but Luke makes a good point that if this was the reverse (all power all the time) you'd have the same reaction from the other side, even though his opinion is I don't care. They also ignore the criticism from what I saw was how Microsoft jerked itself off about how they'll save the earth with this change. Never trust leafs.

-If you want tickets to LTX '23 they go on sale Monday, consooom

-Luke gets mad that Linus and 90% of the staff haven't changed their passwords for their various accounts like they were asked to a while ago, seems like it's something that needs to be done for some new security or backend update but people aren't doing this which might create issues.

-There's talk about timesheets and logging in hours and people not doing this (their fault) but also even salaried people having to clock in hours which makes no sense and seems like something they should fix but won't.

Maybe it's just me, but "Here's how subnets work" and "This is how I can use enterprise hardware to power my smart home without power cables!" are much more interesting videos than "my WiFi is garbage".
But then he would have to put actual efforts and maybe even have to learn something. You don't want to put poor Linus through the hell of LEARNING things, do you?

I know nothing about networking, but I would like to pretend there could be plenty of topics to cover in a "101" type of introduction. I know they tried a series similar to that: TechBytes or something.

LTT Labs is supposed to transform his kiddie friendly business, but it's been a year and they have produced nothing.

On the real for a sec, how is the Intel Arc, without Linus's soy tainting everything? I'm planning on transferring cases for my old man's PC soon, and I can either keep the EVGA 1030 with 2 gb of ram, or upgrade. I don't trust Linus "I went to the Intel Israeli headquarters" tech tips, but I am intrigued on just a upgrade for a lower powered card for what is a glorified monster sized email machine.

If I didn't have a 3070 I'd be fine with the big Arc 750 or 770 in my own rig since I do more video editing and design than gaming, but I wouldn't put it in a family member's computer until they do some more driver updates. It's a good deal if you know what you're doing but still seems to have random errors that non-PC people would probably lose their shit over. I know the A380 hovers around 150 which is what the 1650 used to be at or below before Chyna Virus and they now still sit at 200 dollars. At that point a 6600 is about 30 bucks more and seems to do everything asked of it.

To be honest I found the Fox news saying that Microsoft going woke because the eco-save thing to be the most retarded take from Fox news, the eco saving won't impact in games that uses the full power of the console and Microsoft do a lot of worst woke things in comparison, for me this was a nothing burger that blew out.

Linus mouth the script Luke reads off of
You can see that on 90% of videos of Linus shows in, he has a joycon thing on the hand, that's is something to control the teleprompter, which if he wasn't retarded it would be one of the 10 staff filming that would do that to not show that it was scripted, so most of his videos are scripted.

Also the video was released today, I watched it and he simped a lot of Intel you will see that on the AMD challenge, that he cited on WAN show, he won't give that praise to them.

Luke gets mad that Linus and 90% of the staff haven't changed their passwords for their various accounts like they were asked to a while ago, seems like it's something that needs to be done for some new security or backend update but people aren't doing this which might create issues.
Where I work that happened but because the IT manager is actually good, they just zero'd out the password database, so everyone was forced to reset it.

salaried people having to clock in hours which makes no sense and seems like something they should fix but won't.
NGL, most of the time where I heard of companies doing that where they had to clock in on a timesheet besides the punching the clock was because the managers were inept to the point where they wouldn't use Jira or similar tools to delegate the tasks or they used it to give reasons to not pay the worker all his work hours because he spent too much time on a simple task

DarkViperAU said Linus' channel could be ethical if he put in effort to his reactions. I have to wonder, if Linus was too lazy to watch a 20 minute video, why would anyone think he would put enough effort to make his reactions ethical?

He pinned this comment which says he finally watched the video and said his writers notes were good:

Here's DarkViper's reaction to being talked about on the WAN show:

He's baffled that Linus didn't actually watch the video and had someone else do it for him, while deciding instead to read the comments of the video. Clearly, DarkViper isn't familiar with how lazy and incompetent Linus is. He says he's accepted the offer to go on the WAN show so we'll see what happens then.

No doubt the comments read by Linus' lackey (or at the least the ones they passed onto Daddy Linus) were from his simps. The same simps that infect the comments feed in every single video that's even tangentially related to computing, such as the MCM 15th Anniversary video from a few pages back.

On a related note, The Fucking Algorithm started recommending LTT videos to me again, despite me telling it numerous times "Do not recommend this channel". The scariest part is that not only does YT not listen to my requests, these videos somehow managed to get past BlockTube.

No shit, Linus is the T-1000 of tech YouTubers.

He probably pays for that.
I get tons of bread tube crap too despite me down voting or clicking on ignore this, every time.
Twitter files revelated that you can pay to get unbanned or pay something like 20k to get a blue tick before Elon kicked the door down and showed how the kitchen worked.

I'm sure when you're are big and connected you get a secret menu with whatever you want to do for the right price.

I greatly enjoy how Wendell is this underrated go-to techtuber for real shit.
Yet Linus simps will still say "yOu ShOuLd GeT lInUs To BuIlD yOu A sErVeR!!!!11!!!!" whenever a YouTuber gets within 50 feet of a server on one of their videos, even if said YouTuber doesn't usually make tech videos.
