This thread has never had a "reliable [source of] information" rule. Most of the stuff that is posted here, be it from rando Twitter accounts, from Western Media, Eastern Media, etc, isn't particularly reliable. And this is war, besides.
I am, however, not satisfied with fake screenshots of news articles that are not obviously fake. To that end, I would request that you all provide source links next time.
You know very well that people make these things up knowing very well that a deluge of fake crap cannot be entirely monitored to push a narrative.
Articles that do not exist, that have not been archived, and nobody but some loli-enjoyer on Poast pretends to have seen them should be considered fake.
It's completely true that various shitlib outlets and Western idiots fall easily for Sam Hyde memes and Ukraine government misinfo. But at least they correct themselves after Ghost of Kyyyyyyyyiiiiv is proven a meme and they are shown to be idiots.
People like these vatniks on Poast and 4chan simply make up shit like this because they are malicious spergs. There is no reason to allow them to infect the site with lying on purpose.
If we treat obvious lying with neutrality, it encourages everyone to engage in it and simply go post-modern lunacy and pushing relativism like the loli sperg trying to equate some idealistic shitlib outlet making mistakes with fat vatnik making shit up for giggles on poast.
Let's instead encourage people to tell the truth to the best of their capabilities and not make shit up.

The irony of you, without evidence, calling people loli-enjoyers, I hope is not lost on you.

That aside, that is why I am insisting on a source link.

yo guys check this out

Surprised no one here is even talking about the very real threat of Nuclear war now, considering the tanks being sent to Ukraine.
This topic was discussed several times already and Russia stopped making nuclear threats after Xi said that using nukes would cross the line. I made a post about a nuclear escalation ladder back in October. In short, deploying nukes is in no one's interest and too risky of a move. Some additional points:
- There are many retaliatory measures both Russia and the West can still use before they resort to nukes.
- Russian doctrine limits usage of their nuclear weapons, there are several checks before weapons are fired, and there are cold war precedents to disobey launch orders.
- Ukraine already struck targets inside of Russia and controls about 50% of recently annexed territories. This is all justification Russians needs to use nukes according to their doctrine but yet they don't.
- The weapon that Russia would most likely deploy first would be a tactical nuke - useful for destroying small areas with concentrated troops or military infrastructure. Ukrainians tend to work in small, dispersed units thus making tactical nukes not cost effective.
- If Russia would deliver on their nuclear threats, their power as an extortion tool and deterrent in the game of brinkmanship would lessen. That's not good for Russia, as it has been rather reliant on brinkmanship to restrain the west and get concessions.
- Using nukes in Ukraine could spur a new wave of nuclear weapon developments and an end to nuclear non proliferation treaty. Baltics, Finland, Poland, Romania, and Turkey would certainly rush to develop their own nuclear arms and aim them at Moscow. That's the last thing Russia wants.
- Using nukes would carry severe diplomatic repercussions. Many Russian allies would cut ties if not turn into enemies. Xi already implied that China would not stand by Russia after nuclear weapons are used.

"The report added the targeted site stored a stockpile of ballistic missiles, with the strike sending a message to Iran and Russia. The American sources told Al-Hadath that the strike sent a message to Iran and Russia that "the establishment of factories and the export of ballistic missiles will not be allowed."
No hypocrisy here, or even irony as they tell another sovereign nation not to give weapons to Russia while sending billions of dollars of equipment to UKR.... "It's ok when we do it" - Israel/US
Russia stopped making nuclear threats
Russia never made nuclear threats.

The RAND corporation has come out and said supporting a long war/Ukraine regaining pre war borders is not feasible.

This is a big deal to lose think tanks.

"Conventional Russian forces are likely replacing exhausted Wagner Group forces to maintain the offensive in Bakhmut after the Wagner Group’s offensive in Bakhmut culminated with the capture of Soledar around January 12."

You want to know why people don't take you seriously......it's right there in the first few lines....

Likely means maybe

Exhausted means not casualties

And it's from the ISW meaning they're just guessing and don't actually know anything.

Most of the time exhausted in this context means two things. Either literal exhaustion meaning soldiers are physically tired, or it means they need a reset due to logistical reasons. You can resupply units directly at the front with things like more ammunition, food, fuel, and replacement equipment, but it's actually easier and safer to just rotate a unit out with one that's ready to go. What's funny is that the one time you can't rotate and do have to replenish directly at the front is when you don't have reserves... kinda like Ukraine.

Overt Russian propaganda aimed at the West is so shitty. Same with Chinese.
The thing is that it works. This thread is filled with people who eat it up. They can be lied to a hundred times, they will take the 101st bullshit lie at face value and parade it around, smugly secure in their sense of superiority, and never once thinking critically about what they're saying or why they're saying it. Monkey see, monkey parrot.

Remember that a significant portion of any population is effectively subhuman for statistical reasons.

In the case of Wagner mercs, “exhausted” means unsustainable casualties. 75% of Wagner’s force is destroyed.
