The only reason Orban plays this game is because he has large amounts of Hungarians left outside Hungary's borders. How did that happen, you ask?
Hungary has made the absolute WORST choices in alliances in Europe's conflicts, and it was never truly capable militarily, made all of its neighbors super angry, and paid the price.

So Orban is hoping that he will eventually pull a Donbas against Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia and and Romania, and take back those lands that were once Kingdom of Hungary. Won't happen.

For background it's important to understand this rant is written by Romanian, and they are salty as hell about anything north of the Carpathains being Hungarian. Even today you have regions which are Hungarian, with Hungarian villiage names, language, schools etc...
It boils down to nationalism from a nation that spend 500 years being raped by Ottomans.

Chasov Yar is a very choice artillery site as it's on elevated ground in relation to the surrounding area. The cauldron is closing. I wouldn't allow them to leave either, Russia will have to fight the survivors again.



Foreign volunteers came under mortar fire during the evacuation of people from northern Bakhmut. Doesn't say who or where these people are from but they should have left at least two weeks ago.

You're absolutely right to doubt, and you'd be right about a lot of things (mostly migration and war related), but corruption is rampant in hungary, and Orbán & cronies own huge lands and companies across the country they fed up with tax money and EU gibs. The EU is absolutely in the right when it demands accounting for EU money.

I suspect that the EU would give less fucks about that missing money if Orban was a raging leftist or was willing to open Europe's gates even wider for their greatly desired voting cattle/cultural enrichment. I know that he's a corrupt, self-obsessed motherfucker, a Gypsy breeder and a weathervane but his political opponents and their voters consist of people with terminal ODS™. Their self-hatred is almost on the same level as Germany's and Sweden's. You cannot deny this because they literally clapped when Borys Filatov (Dnipro's mayor) started ranting and raving about Hungarians being vile subhumans and eternal cronies of dictators (that's rich coming from a Ukrainian) who belong in the dustbin of history before ending it with "in Minecraft". You guys and gals need an opposition that at least pretends to give a shit about the nation instead of fantasizing about globohomo and an EU superstate. It will never happen because the US will stamp it out before it gets too powerful and the EU basically doomed itself already by deciding to give Eastern Europe a party invitation.
