He will stick around for a bit while the TV money is good but it all depends on the medical status of the baby. If it turns out a complex needs preemie he will be emotionally unable to cope and contrive some situation which allows him to dip out while it's still in hospital. Most likely a row with Alex and falling hopelessly in love with another girl so that he just had to follow his heart or coming out as gay and he just had to become his true self.

That’s just not how it’ll go, unfortunately. If she hires a carer for herself, he’ll last until she kicks him out for good, it’ll be ugly before then, but physically at least her and baby will probably be fine long term. If she doesn’t hire help, and it’s just basically immobile Alex, tiny baby, and relapsed addict Noah… it probably ends with someone dead.

BPD suffers don’t just bounce, they make everything into a goddamn shitshow until told to leave and never come back by someone who actually enforces that. Which she’ll be completely unable to do if he’s their only carer, at least if she hires someone then her ability to not sit in her own filth while the baby starves won’t be tied to giving him what he wants.

So I don’t know if things have changed a lot for Alex but in 2017-2018 when I followed her-her mom did not take care of Alex. She was drunk and always seemed to be fighting with Alex. Alex was also drunk a lot of the time.

I also remember that if you were hired by Alex, you better be okay with shaving her down. She fired a couple of aides that did not wish to assist with shaving. Some of those rants may still be on instagram-same with the drama with her mom.

I imagine once the overindulgent mother is criticizing his every move, he may well be bullied out of the place. Don't forget Alex is a little sociopath who has no problem abandoning a friend from high school and leaving him stranded in a strange city.

She's not going to want a man around who puts his needs above hers, she who has been so intensely coddled she thought this was good behavior. Mama and Daddy emboldened her to be the kind of overconfident woman who believes everything should be handed to her. She will tire of her new plaything.

She doesn't love him any more than he loves her. He is a bad boy and she should get to have a bad boy without criticism, because able-bodied girls get bad boys. You think she can't get pregnant by a drug addict who's been in jail? You wish you were so lucky!

It's normal for a disabled person to want their bikini line shaved or help with trimming at the perineum and labia if they're sexually active and aren't at a stage where asking a boyfriend or husband is okay with helping. I wouldn't think much of it. However, if she's demanding someone carefully clear away every bit of hair and intimately touch her, she needs to pay them a lot more than the going rate for HHAs.

What if the caregiver was excellent in every other aspect, except that they're uncomfortable shaving your pubes? Why not hire a separate person to take care of the bush, if you really insist? like maybe an esthetician who specializes in hair removal treatments? and let the caregiver focus on actual caregiving?

It's cultural in a sense, a sort of lingering reflex if you were raised in a house that at least said grace on Christmas and Easter, or you were sent to Sunday School for a few years - it's just garbage people say to elevate the importance of whatever they're doing, whether they're actually religious or not. Like football players* thanking God after the game "for really looking out for us today" - aka ignoring all the death and destruction in the world but clearly deeply invested in the playoff outcomes.

*Or any big-league sports person, really. Not picking on my football boys, as I am a huge fan...but so I see it every week in the fall, after every single game - someone always thanks God in a way that sounds like a thanks for a personal favor to win the game, rather than general thanks and praise (which is just grandstanding itself), and it's goofy every time.

But it's often used in ridiculous situations by unstable people whose unhealthy attachment disorders are lurking barely beneath the surface, as a way of trying to psychologically influence the other person to get or stay invested to an unhealthy degree (i.e., not to leave them even though they are batshit crazy, often unruly addicts, and will destroy your life) . This usually arcs to suicide-baiting when things go off the rails. ...oh, wow, I think I just described my second marriage. Lessons learned!
