Looks like one of Pat's former editors at Tor has unfortunately been laid off (I don't take any joy at anyone losing their job, and Chris Morgan acquired Pat's spaceship books a year before all the trolling started, during that 'Expanse' period where spaceships were a big thing...)
It's been a good 2-3 years since Pat was involved with Tor in any capacity so we can't claim any blast radius fallout from Pat's current trolling woes. Pat has tried to get Chris' attention a few times since then, but once his 2-book contract was filled at Tor in 2020, the shutters pretty much came down on the relationship.

Long time readers of the thread would remember this guy as piggy's dyslexic editor. Yes, that is not a joke. Pat's (former) editor has dyslexia. He was also one the biggest cheerleaders of piggy's writing career and probably played a big part in getting Pat his three book deal with TOR.

Or Tesla specifically fucks around to make their bullshit-mobiles unrepairable. Plus on top of that they're badly designed in general. People are paying top dollar for absolute crap. They deserve it because they're stupid. Teslas that get in crashes often end up catching on fire, getting doused, then catching on fire again because of the shitty battery design.
Plus most emergency response don't yet have the Class D fire extinguishers needed to put out lithium battery fires. And when they don't they just douse it in endless amounts of water to deprive it of oxygen.
Anyway Fat Rick is slightly correct in that we shouldn't even allow this bullshit on the road because internal combustion engines powered by gasoline are still better.
Supposedly, at least according to the specs, Class B extinguishers can stop those battery fires, too, but they often just douse absolutely everything in water and keep doing it over and over, so enjoy your repeatedly drowned douchemobile.

Meanwhile in the west, it's up by 20%. Personally, Tesla is an energy stock, energy stocks are going to go up in the summer so for me it was a buy a few months ago. I would avoid battery stocks though. There's no real growth with them. Tech stocks are doing okay but I don't feel like that will be the case for long.

Part 1 of the podcast only briefly makes fun of Patrick and his shitty writing for like 30 seconds. The Rest of the episode is an interview with Moira Greyland, who was very heavily sexually and physically abused by her parents she describes a book she wrote about the experience.. The actual Sci fi writers guild issues isn't covered terribly much... maybe episode 2?
