This is already the case. They already scrub and self-cite in their own circle jerk so much that the truth is practically buried.
In many instances when the truth does come out, it's given spin and buzzwords to make it sound like a lie. This is why people don't trust the media and now with people using streaming services/youtube/whatever the fuck they're watching instead of the mainstream news networks, it's only going to get worse for them, and the truth is going to be lost forever.

This is the modern age. The only truth that's allowed to exist is theirs. It's why they want to control the internet and why the UN wants a new Cybercrime law they can control. Even the Religious/ Moral Right weren't as bad as these people and they would literally burn you on a cross.

Thinking back to the Ali's 1001 questions for Null, the fixation on Something Awful can be explained by this.
Yet another useless, overdramatic novel written by a journalist who thinks they understand the internet and found some secret link to the "Rise of Online Hate narrative". Ali wants to try and tie KF into this extremely stupid overarching storyline tech journos have tried to craft since 2016.
That's journospeak for "I didn't want to do any research but I still want to pretend like this article is anything but a hitpiece".
It's fucking insane how much this article gets wrong. This article is so full of salt and barely concealed rage I feel like I'm getting second-hand hypertension reading it. He's seething harder than Fong-Jones and Keffals because #Dropkiwifarms failed and the site's still up in time for its 10th anniversary.
Ali repeatedly refers to "free speech" and "democratization" on the internet as something dystopian because it allows people to say things he doesn't like.
The scary, pretentious imagery is just the cherry on top of this shit sundae.

Look at how this sack of shit tried to sanitize "Greta's" actions. No mention of the knives he posted on Facebook or the threatening messages sent to Null. The thing is, while it's true that a lot of online phenomena can be traced somehow to SA, it's not exactly informative to say so. It was an enormous fish in a time when the pond was smaller, and spawned other big fish like 4chan that have their own family trees as well. Saying anything can be traced back to SA is something pseuds say because they're terrified of saying nothing.
