Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

A mountain day. New Morbid Midnight took place in 2022, kind of surprised I didn't see any news about it when it happened.

Terror Twin has been a decent smaller channel so far in the outdoor misadventure category. The editing and audio aren't as slick as some, but it gives off the air that he's doing the work himself instead of being distracting.

Night Mind threw a gay fit over JK Rowling. It's about as cringe as you'd expect. He even does the stupid thing where they call her Joanne like it's an insult.

My favorite part is the last tweet where he tries to deny that she invented the Harry Potter world. Bruh, you review other people's ARGs on Youtube. Try to be less jealous.

My favorite part about all the Rowling discourse is that it's literally just lunatic sexpests screaming, and threatening a success businesswoman who does nothing, but write children's books, and donate to charities.

This video was fine really. It's better than the last couple of his newer videos but still not really as intriguing as his older ones imo. Tl;dw it was just a simple file hosting website that restricted account sign ups since the person who made it couldn't keep up with the costs of bandwidth and increasing users. The fact that there were people going around trying to keep others quiet about it as if it was some kind of in-joke or whatever sounded more interesting than the site itself.

Also, I seem to remember some fuss over people accidentally revealing locations of secret underground Arctic or Antarctic bases, because their fancy modern hand watches logged their walking routes. Did something came of that, was that deboonked or whatever?

Agreed. I want to like youtubers like Barely Sociable and Nexpo, but the royalty free creepy music, sound effects, and voice larping is so fucking gay. The topics they talk about are already scary (sometimes) and don't need silly embellishments that only scare off low IQ brainlets afraid of scrolling up to see the videos. Barely Sociable's normal voice is not the same as what he portrays in his videos, so it makes me wonder if the long time frame between his videos isn't about research but more so fucking his throat up for the videos to appear spoopy.

Its a problem with these channels taking themselves too seriously. They might start making decent retrospectives with nice editing but something about getting attention from the algorithm fucks their brains and they start navel gazing and powerleveling more and more with each new video, i already take for granted that the narrator is going to go on an hour long tangent about his personal life bullshit instead of staying on topic. Most people on youtube who do video analisis are failed artists, failed writers and failed filmmakers. and it shows.

you can see this exact same progression with the channel In praise of shadows or Glink. They are going off the fucking rails.

Yeah, it's troubling to me because I don't quite get the perspective of wanting to share details about oneself with the internet, but maybe I'm an outlier.

More people need to reread over what they are saying and have even 1 second of thought before posting.

So many times I've typed something out and stopped before hitting enter to think "if I read this, would I care? No, I would probably think no one needs to know this bitch, put it in a journal".

Unfortunately for me, people raised on social media seem to lack any common sense or pride in having a personal life outside of the internet.
