He was a small fry before the Covid happened.
Honestly, the pandemic was a perfect opportunity for online cult leaders to rise, gathereing people who lack social contacts and a father figure for their own gain. Whether it's just the immature big brother Jan or more dangerous grifters like Andrew Tate and climate fanatics, the dynamics are the same.

Honestly based and my favourite part.
The whole thread seems pretty mild to me. Obviously anyone doing pokemon content is going to some breed of spergy faggot (and you can't defend being wrong about Clover; Clover fucking owns) but since the internet lost its balls and everybody turned into a complete pussy it's great to still see the occasional asshole.

It's the mixture of asshole, whiny wokist, simp, sperg, delusional self-loving, crawling closed fag behavior and hints to mental health issues here and there that makes him interesting.

It's been almost a decade since I first read the comic, but I can't remember any jokes in that comic which would be considered offensive to even today's woke faggots

This guy is a pretty good player with some decent cheesy tricks that exploits the game's garbage AI, but he's just so obnoxious and smug about it. I always thought his mocking of other channels was an act until he started doing it regularly. I forgot when, but there was this time where some small channel actually had a better strategy than his, and he seemed pretty upset about it in the live reaction, for some reason. Still, kudos to him for including it in the clips.

He actively hates his YouTube audience too, calls them scum while calling twitch based.

There was this high pitched guy who left his chair for half an hour because he got attached to his Pokemon and killed it due to bad luck, his chat was mad but Jan called him a cuck for apologising -- seriously? It's a kid's game about slavery. Fyi, rooster fighting and hound racing is even illegal in China.

Jan is obviously involved somewhat in chan culture, he uses their language and even recognises their memes. I remember someone sending superchats with 1488 references and another with an "Alternate for Germany" meme, he recognised it faster than I did. This guy hates himself, probably a fascist when he was in high school. A common trait among edgy teen reforms is the need to constantly virtue signal.

A sound advice to guys like this is encapsulated in just several words: take yourself less seriously. He won't.
