I don't mind nexpo in general but this video is another miss for me. The game he shows at the beginning looks pretty cool but the rest is a bunch of shit about le big scary cryptid fish bogey. Specific phobias like this ocean shit just don't translate well over a screen imo.
It's been more than half a year since he last released a video I actually liked. I preferred when instead of covering fiction he made his content about things that (feel like they) actually happened, like real world and internet mysteries, creepy recordings, stories of insane redditors and shit.

I think I've reached the point where if I see an other distorted face in analog horror I am opening fire, for fuck sake let the "why are these rides so autistic?", "what the fuck happened to the visitors?" and "how's that previous energy research company involved in all that?" carry the intrigue and horror not retarded faces that if anyone in-universe would have seen they would have burned the whole place to the ground. With my tardrage out of the way...
I clicked through it. There are stuff here that looks moody enough, but the most interesting part of the site, about the closure of the park, is locked behind a password, so there's that. Nexpo is into all this next level ARG autism so I don't really hold this against him, but with what else is on offer I gave up after 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Also opening your ARG with merch takes some balls.

It also takes the wind out of everyone's sails. While yes, most ARG's require a suspension of disbelief, doing something like this will dissuade even the most autistic ARG enjoyers from interacting with your game anywhere deeper than the surface level. Then again, maybe this story will be so shallow it won't need any real effort to interact with. I guess that's a real possibility given Nexpo's current content quality.
If they were serious about doing a good ARG, they'd just do it and wait for people to gather around it, revealing that it was them all along after it was finalized, or at the very least only when it gained enough traction to stand on its own. Since they're banking on interactions from their fans, I doubt it would be good enough to peak on its own, though.

Evil and off amusement parks are a favorite of mine, but this just looks goofy. It's also done in excess take this image, wouldn't it look better if just one passenger was off? Maybe someone in the back rows? Is he afraid people would miss it if he was more subtle?
The images without people are appropriately moody at least. It's a cool aesthetic in general so I don't think it's complete shit.

Honestly if there were at least one throwaway line that "the images came out weird for some reason, but nobody reported seeing anyone out of the ordinary during their visit" I'd be fine with it. The video tape could have remained weird since it's internal material for the probably-evil company.

Haven’t seen much interesting horror content lately. Dreading has been putting out good videos at the very least. Same with Dire Trip at least he cares about finding new shit to talk about and doesn’t just recycle the same things everyone knows over and over.
