Have to disagree. Listen to the court hearing with Andrew Nadolski, the O&A A-log who came to see him at Hooligans. He comprehends everything fine, he even knows when it's time to pursue an alternate route, it's simply that his stubborn, pig-headed pride just won't let him a accept that he has ever been wrong or that any of the things that have happened to him are his fault.
For not being a lawyer he conducts himself well enough in the trial, his cracks only start to open when things are not going his way but he's not overly argumentative with the judge and even though he makes clear that he thinks he's 100% in the right, he takes the L and asks how to appeal. His problem is that the version of events he tells himself paints him as the totally innocent victim in all of this and his self-serving narrative leaves out all of the relevant facts that would show he brought this on himself, such as that he decided to chimp out at O&A for criticizing him and get them taken off of Reddit. I'm surprised Andrew doesn't bring it up, maybe he is a Kiwi and not a pest and just didn't want to explain more weird shit to the judge, but leaving out the fact that Patrick made a conscious decision to get these people kicked off of Reddit shows that in his own head he thinks that he has absolutely done nothing to contribute to his current situation. He even says multiple times that O&A picked his name out of a hat to bully, which is absurd. There's nothing mentally wrong with this guy, at least there's no psychological diagnosis of spectrum or personality disorder that fits him, he just makes really, really bad choices and refuses to take any responsibility for it.

That's so vague, by that measure we all have autism for following his case so closely and parroting all of his "child" shit. Also what speech pattern did he repeat in the recording? He honestly seemed more normal and put-together than Nadolski, just alot angrier and unwilling to admit that he is wrong.

The difference is we're doing it because for us it's a source of entertainment. Seeking entertainment is natural for sane people. Rick is willingly engaging in an activity that is source of constant stream of negative stimuli for him.
I mean his "Stalker child", "Baby child", "Enjoy prison, stalker". Very noticeable in his conversation with a fake HuffPost journo.
