Interestingly, Youtube lawyer/legal commentator Attorney Tom is representing people who got jewed in Crypto Zoo:

I say interestingly because this is a million miles from his normal practice of catastrophic personal injury cases. Also apparently cryptozoo has those BS no class actions/forced arbitration clauses. Can't wait to see 6 gorillion individual actions. I wonder if they also have a clause saying they'll pay for it. I vaguely recall a company (patreon maybe?) that did that and then got fucked into paying something like $1500 a pop for thousands of individual arbitrations.

Logan Paul’s apology is the only reason why Jake Paul is pulling a Homer Simpson and thinking he got off kind of easy. He’s only sticking to boxing, while Logan continues to want to drive home the people pleaser act while sticking his nose into way too many things that are out of his element.

I'm surprised anyone actually bought his supposed change of heart in the first place. He went from rich fratboy douche to nice guy blm supporter pretty much overnight. That recent clip of him on his podcast mocking religious people showed his real arrogant personality start to slip out again.

Update on the Paul/Zilla war
  • Logan Paul uploads an apology video to Coffeezilla... on a secondary channel
  • Paul agrees to drop his suit against Coffee
  • He pledges to liquidate 1.31.8 million in Etherium to pay back the investors who got screwed
    • Investors paid about 7.7 million to get this shit show off the ground
  • He also pledges to finish Cryptozoo
  • "Don't invest any more money into Cryptozoo because I will no longer be the scapegoat for anyone's financial decisions."
  • Coffee expresses doubt as to whether Paul is sincere in his apologies

"...The Matrix is real..." comment was curious.
Did Logan get the dreaded SEC/IRS/FBI letter?

Logan is a criminal and a villain. He literally was forced by everyone in his community (his fans and YouTube peers) to make amends, and he does the absolute minimum. While acting like HE is the victim.
but, $1.8MM is a start. IF that happens.

Those slimy arbitration clauses need to end

Any statement he makes going forward is going to be a direct result of his lawyer sticking his hand up his ass and making him talk like a sock puppet. LP and his legal team know shit's hitting the fan and they need to making him look as sympathetic as possible before prosecutors start checking out his Cryptozoo.

Lolcow crossover since he keeps inserting himself into things that have nothing to do with him or Logan’s behavior:

He even made two videos about Logan’s treatment towards animals, and this one has over 370k+ views:

Remember that one time Coffeezilla was known as Coffee Break and tried to do a gotcha on Kurzgesagt. Unfortunately for him, they, released a video addressing the issue before Coffee could get a video out and he coped and sneeded hard that he wasn't able to get his expose that amounted to "uhm akchtually"

He doesn't want you to remember, this was probably the reason he rebranded into Coffeezilla. He really embarrassed himself and he scrubbed it from his Youtube channel. Remember that calling out grifters from a standpoint of moral authority is also grifting if you're formatting it like a show to make a profit.

I think that Kurzgesagt was recently pwned. Showing how Open Society and Gates are well beyond the majority of their donations.
I doubt that was why he rebranded. But, sure, sometimes you take the shot and you miss...
...but the target was still valid

YouTube is an entertainment source. The entertainers are paid. Coffee is not a moral authority, nor a public defender. He is an entertainer.
Maybe you were confused?

I'm not defending Kurzgesagt, I just found this a good place to remind people that Coffeezilla had a near lolcow moment. Because that's the point of the site, and it isn't worth making an entire thread for just him, and this is probably the most relevant place that he's being talked about the most.
It was genuinely funny when it happened because how butthurt he got, and it was also hilarious when I realized this was the same guy. I can't say for sure, but his branding changed sometime after that incident and I was theorizing that it was because his previous mistake, which is what makes it relevant. Even moreso, this information has been scrubbed from his channel by him, which is reason enough to bring it to public consciousness. Him being an entertainer doesn't make it any less morally gray that he is trying to revise his internet presence. Especially as a person that makes their living calling out grifters.

I think Kurzgesagt is just an easy target, some other Youtuber named "Think That Through" made a 2 hour long video sperging about Kurzgesagt and its "climate greenwashing".

I'm not defending Kurzgesagt, I haven't watched the billionaire funding video but they seem to get criticized by people every few years or so.

"Logan Paul Named in Proposed Class-Action Suit for CryptoZoo ‘Rug Pull’ After CoffeeZilla Expose"

I've never heard of the website coindesk. How reliable is this, because a lolsuit would be extraordinarily hilarious.
The lawsuit is real, but the article is apparently slightly misleading. The lawyer who actually filed the lawsuit has released a video about it, and mentions the Coindesk article specifically.

tl:dw The class action lawsuit currently only covers victims from Texas, because the original ToS didn;t include the class action waiver/mandatory arbitration clauses, and under Texas law they may not be enforceable given they way they were later introduced.
