I don't know the specifics, but I've heard the same. Basically if the "peteroldollar" dies then we lose our ability to influence-or-control the rest of the world's economy -- and the second that happens a whole lot of bills come due. Bills we can't pay, and will never be able to pay, because on paper the debt markets are always paid off eventually but in reality they're paid off in newer debt, or somesuch, so if someone actually asks to be paid, well, uh, shit.

In short, Biden and the Lockdowners have given our economy a fatal knife wound to the stomach -- beyond just the debt market, which WILL crash soon, it's literally just a matter of time -- that we absolutely cannot recover from. But all the boomers should be dead or retried and far enough away from the econuclear blast that none of them will see the fallout.

Myself, I'm hoping a bunch of starving hungry people start dragging politicans out of their gated communities and beat them, but that's probably still a few years / decade out.

I agree but complacency kills and nothing lists forever. The US is weird in that it benefits a lot from simply not being as fucked up as most other places and is generally more reliable to work with than others.
