That's the interesting part. If it is true Karl's antics on a Brownells-owned service did sink the collaboration with Brownells then the logical conclusion is that Karl is a loose cannon that should either be reined in or abandoned.
Forgoing this is not a good idea. As someone mentioned previously, though with KE Arms, where would they go? MidwayUSA? Larry Potterfield makes a good commercial but their site is garbage and is often only visited in desperation. Having an ongoing legal battle worsens this, Karl may have sunk a massive source of income to help with that.

I had hesitated to bring up the lawsuit, since it is a farce being waged by a political operative to destroy independent gunmakers. When Karl posted this video insinuating that a cult of black people descending on a town and fighting with the locals, and the locals reacting and defending themselves and their home instead of laying down and worshipping them (like he does) made them racist was when I knew I didn't need to take a single damn thing he said seriously. Notice how he turned off comments and puts the little snarky quip at the top of the description, you aren't even allowed to question the narrative he created in the video, you just have to take his word for it that it was just toxic chuds bein racist.

Yes, the Russia Empire did adopt the Winchester 1895, but it was for issue to Air Force and Police units as a substitute standard. It was never intended to replace the Mosin Nagant in front-line service.

Lever guns are just costly. Always have been. Same with revolvers. A lot of machining and tight tolerances. There was a reason it took forever for Winchester to adapt it to 7.62x54r. It's surprising at all that the Russians of all nations fielded both revolvers and lever guns, with their cost, poorly trained conscripts, etc. That's the reason they went hard in on the Mosin when they could and the Tokarev. The submachine gun once introduced, and arguably the DP-27 effectively negated any advantages of the fast firing of lever actions.

And yes Ian did point out that firing while prone with a lever gun is a major disadvantage, which no doubt triggered Karl's autism. Still wouldn't want to get hit by a lever gun, be it 30-30 or 45-70, but a sniper it is not.

Basically. They already had the lever rifle with a box mag, the 1895, but the problem came with 7.62x54r's rim. It took them a while to iron out the kinks in what was already a bleeding edge lever action, thus causing delays on top of delays.

That's an excellent video. Through outhe referrs to them as a cult, went into details about their bomb making, and made it clear they brought the Police activity on themselves. It was kind of obvious that the Sherriff just wanted a quite life and was willing to leave them to their own devices, provided they stopped chimping out in public.

Karl even made a point of detailing how the Police kept their weapons holstered, even after the violence started, and refused to hit female cult members even when they were lashing out at them with hammers.

He makes a few references to racism at the beginning, but that just makes it more damming when he describes all the shit the cult were getting up to prior to the shooting.
