Corporate Cucks / Hustle Culture / LinkedIn Loonies - Corporate bootlickers and shills

My favorite posts are the ones that just get laid off but can’t help but simp for the corporation that just laid them off on their LinkedIn post.
Do people outside 1mil+ locals even need LinkedIn? I don't see how, unless that's your goal.
Nobody needs LinkedIn. I had one up until very recently. Anyone who has true connections with other people and jobs don’t need it. It’s mostly just getting blasted with numerous offers for entry level jobs. It’s become Facebook for wagies.
Actually using it to describe people doing their duties and nothing more is insane. As if simply doing your job as agreed is laziness on par with doing nothing.
Yeah my understanding is that it’s doing just enough to not get fired. People can last a surprisingly long time doing this. I’ve seen people do it for years. Most commonly I see it for people within a few years of retirement. They could walk out the door at any time but they have just enough subject matter expertise where they don’t get canned for the occasional question that needs answered. It happens a lot more these days, especially as there are a bunch of ass kissers competing for a shrinking number of promotions. So they’ll keep fighting for those fewer jobs while everyone else just does the bare minimum. However there is always the people who end up on the wrong side of quiet quitting so anyone doing this should get their resume polished and sock away money just in case.

COVID showed that no matter how many fucking hours you put in, you still couldn't stay 1 month afloat for 99% of the people.
How many fucks realized working 2 jobs and 60 hours couldn't pay the rent? From single moms in Utah to some programmer in silicon valley where making 100k/year is poor people wage.

Then they realized their bosses didn't give a shit and wanted you to work in a plague, didn't want to give sick leave, then they saw family, friends all suffocate and die.

Then the checks came, why risk your life, why bother your mental health when you got almost the same paycheck you did while working 40 hours?

I think this was already headed this way since 2008, i mean you worked your ass off, still got evicted, meanwhile a rich Jew banker could gamble your savings away and still get 500 billion from congress, COVID just made it faster.

Hustle culture made sense 40 years ago when the wages were similar in purchasing power but the house and college costs were 200-500% less.

Now you can work your ass off and never get a home or a car, and you're supposed to like it cause living in a cubicle eating soy is good for the environment;you get "experts" and celebrities pushing you to not have kids, get doped up on social media/games and forget about the fact that your semi literate grandad could raise 6 kids+his mistress on a Ford assembly line pay while you can't even buy eggs anymore.

Yeah I'm sure free pizza on Fridays fix all that shit.

There is nothing wrong with having a good world ethic, or enjoying work.
There is a difference between that and making your job your entire identity.

There is a guy I know in passing, has an apartment in my complex and I see him while getting mail or doing laundry occasionally. All he ever talks about is his job, and how great he is at it, and how his bosses just gave him another project. The man legitimately makes me cringe in the same way that the couple of Troons I met in real life did.

We went from Harlan County 1930's to being so soulless as to declare loyalty to these shit companies that treat us like shit. The West has fallen, but it's entirely our fault for being content with complacency.

This is not really related to OP, but I wanted to share this with someone because I've known about it for a while. There's this site called ShlinkedIn which is designed to make fun of LinkedIn shit and it satirizes serious business niggas. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

As for the topic at hand, yeah, wagies are wagies. My advice: create a healthy balance of work and pleasure. Or be like Jersh and have them be the same thing.
Good find, ShlinkedIn is fucking gold!

I work at a tech company and spend about half of a workday playing vidya with an ac powered mouse mover keeps my teams status as available.

Best job I ever had, and I'm considered a "valuable SME". Boomers are just angry wfh exists.

Since I'm a man and not an idiot woman I don't broadcast the fact I'm living out Peter Gibbons IRL on social media. That would fuck over the whole enterprise.

Working 2 jobs while WFH makes companies seethe. Say you are a programmer and you are working 2 jobs making double, they HATE this idea. Corpo cucks consider it "cheating" lmao. They expect the employee to be loyal once again.

One already can't survive with one job, and yet he's expected to only take one job that barely covers their necessities. Fucking clowns

what I find funny is that companies hate it when people get 2 jobs to support themselves.
but the boomer rich investors and business owners love flexing that they worked 2 jobs when they were younger and that the younger generations are lazy and don't wanna work as hard as they did.

And then people wonder why there's less children born, because everyone's too busy keeping their own heads above the water to concern themselves with reproduction.

I've been meaning to make something along those lines for a while now, but got lazy. That's a promising thread.

If it hasn't been suggested yet, I highly recommend digging what enables this shit to begin with, and that would be the self improvement sphere/industry. Somebody had posted about how the cringe grindset posters on LinkedIn sound like they gaslight, and they do; improvement influencers deliberately do that 24/7 along with other methods to mislead and funnel suckers into buying expensive as shit GetRich4Real™ bullshit courses and products. The mongs following influencers and motivational posters do worse than simply making their job their identity; they parrot and idolize people who have made their job and wealth their identity.

It's like findom for people who like getting trashed by their co-workers and bosses while they flex over how richer they are than you, it's so fucking weird and sociopathic, and it's spreading alarmingly fast amongst younger people from what I can tell.

If you wanted further proof that the managerial revolution of the 1920's was a fucking mistake, there it is. I swear we're unironically inching closer towards living in Cruelty Squad's universe.

the thing is, making your job your identity is a sensible choice in the right circumstances. like, if you're self empoloyed, doing freelance contract work, or ideally if you own and operate your own company, maybe even if you got an important place in your family business. basically, the more ownership you have of your work, the bigger your stake in its results, the more it makes sense to get personally invested in it.

but when you're a lowly office drone wageslave that can be replaced by random strangers whenever the boss feels like it, then it does NOT make sense at all, then it's just pathetic groveling.

This is an excellent topic and a good opening post. Despite mocking these corporate cocksuckers for years, them having a thread here never occurred to me. As attached, corporations have sought to replace religion, and have largely succeeded. To throw a celebrity into the mix, discuss Mike Rowe a little; here's his stupid little wage slavery pledge attached.

I will never be loyal to a corporation. I can be loyal to my family, my friends, and my chosen Internet cults, but never to a corporation. I'd rather not work a day in my life than end up similar to these slaves, but even that word gives them too much credit. Remember: Slaves are given food, housing, typically a wage, and are cared for by their masters; it's nonsensical most of the time to let a slave die just because he can't work. A wage slave, in contrast, is guaranteed nothing and often not given enough to survive without government subsidies on corporate profits.

I'd rather be a Roman slave than an American wage slave. It was against the law for a Roman master to torture an obedient slave; there's no such law in the United States. The Romans were also honest about their slavery. It was more personal to serve some wealthy man honest about how things were than to be some cog in a machine made of tens of thousands of faceless drones. Romans also considered slaves to be a part of the family, but they actually meant it.

They'd plot any gay scheme, even going as far as forming a religion in the work place, just to avoid the obvious paying their employees more to make them happy.

Is very literally, traditional cults don't get people with mysticism as much anymore , is all corporate language hiding all the same structure as ults and cohercive techniques cults use. Often times they do both. There's something called Generation Zoe in Latinamerica, is a huge MLM, coaching, crypto scam all into one. Cositorto switches back and forth between empty bussiness jargon and pseudo evangelical pastor.

I worry because this modality is becoming huge, its extremely common to see younger people falling for the coaching and trading academies. They won't believe any advice that they are falling into a cult because they don't see the hippies and dudes in robes talking about aliens, everything pointing to a scam is FUD by envious plebs who still "think like poor people"

Anyone who called them out on their scams got called a communist, a keynesian statist and other nonsense. These guys were massively shilled for by right wing and conservative media like panampost for example. Imagine if you said something bad against Enron before the downfall and everyone who invested in Enron made fun of you strawmanned you as that tranny janny from r/antiwork, basically that. Cositorto (the bald guy in the pictures is in jail now.) Interpol got his ass, but only after thousands of people lost their money, he keeps larping as a political prisoner.

I get all my important tasks done on time. I've also got a good bead on how many days of the month I can spend fucking around. The corporate-speak term is "time management".
