Because like @Back me up! said, they live in a world with trolls, goblins, and other weird-ass shit. Why would they care about what another person's skin color is when there's all that other shit running around? So long as they can do magic, and aren't a mudblood, what's the point?
Other schools do exist, but they just chose to go to Hogwarts because they could, or just didn't have one set up in their own particular country. It's a dumb thing to get mad about, frankly.

It's also set in Britain where class is usually a bigger deal than race. Racism is still prevalent, but look at Draco Malfoy and how he treats Ron for an example of what the Wizarding World is more concerned with.

Arguably also that the game is set before Magical Europe had 2 Wizard Hitlers. Granted, they probably still cared more for “Can Use Magic” than “Is Aryan”, but considering what we know both of them got up to, I’m not that surprised that the diverse student body of the 1800’s fucked off
Also depends on how the decline and eventual end of the British Empire effected the Wizarding World and the whole “what school do my magical children go to” thing, but it’s not like Rowling did any World Building like that to use as a reference…

Now I don't know if it's just something on his end, but Discord doesn't seem to recognize Hogwarts Legacy as a game for my partner. So it is doesn't put "playing Hogwarts Legacy" on your profile. It would be interesting to see if this is common among others.

The thing I like so far is the transmog, no need to show the ugly hat(or any item) if it has the best stats. I think Josh should be able to keep his current character style and actually add some armor.

Yeah, drawing upon what I remember, the whole plot of the fourth book is basically bringing into existence two other magical schools whose entire purpose was introducing a flood of really attractive female students and really hot slavic boy students into Hogwarts to stir up romance drama during the obligatory sports tournament plot. I say this because afterward, I don't recall them ever getting mentioned again whatsoever, even during Voldemort's Reign of Terror.

"Weird-ass shit" exists in the real world. It doesn't change anything. JK Rowling wanted to add in some weak anti-racist messaging without it affecting sales. It honestly looks fun from what I've seen. Going to wait till it goes on sale, too busy with other stuff right now for an open-world action-adventure title.
The two lefty Discords I'm in have had different takes on it. One's been rabidly regurgitating the whole "you support TERFs if you buy this" line, while the other has had the ones that have to actually work and interact with the real world tell the troons to calm their tits because they're hearing first-hand the resentment the troon raging is causing.
