Which is why FFXVI is appealing to me since they said in not so many words for marxist fags to fuck off.

Im a simple CEO, if it pisses off the woke, I buy it (not full price tho but I still get it).

The release of the PC Port of TLOU1 has been pushed back, from March 3, to March 28, presumably to line up with the ending of the HBO show:

And some no-named (?) voice actor, made this statement about the TLOU show, and people not liking it:

Idk who they are fooling with the corporate messaging there but alright. Survive and Endure, indeed... :blart:

Now as to the fuckhead has been and his "barking behind the protection of a strong wall" talk...God, these are the people that deserved to get their heads shoved into the toilet because thats where their mouths belong to.

It oozes of "Its our piece of media now, nerds." after they mocked you just 10 years ago for playing video games

1) Excuse the fans for wanting to see something LOYAL to the source material. The way it would have been "loyal" but still similar to the source material is if the relationship between Mark and Bill fell apart at the end and then led to Mark ditching Bill then hanging himself at the end. It would have been different but still loyal to the source material. But no, it was all hunky dory in the FUCKING APOCALYPSE. Another loyal change would be if we got to see those survivors that lived in that sewer like location instead of them all being dead and maybe we then witness it all falling apart. Because, again, this is still tied to the source material. Its like if we had Dumbledore relationship with his family be a good and happy one and show that. Its different? Yeah but its not good change because thats not how it went down in the story! There are adaptations that change things, sure, but they feel that they were made with heart. Even TWD has changes that stayed close to the spirit of the source material for the most part, not all of them good but still. Dont fucking play innocent and say that these changes are because of creative liberty since you fuckheads are the first one to celebrate when OUR creative liberties are stolen. And we both know you would throw a hissy fit if Bill's sexuality wasnt brought up at least once. Your egos wouldnt stand it.

2) No, The Last of Us was never a progressive story. Because progressive and post apocalyptic are oxymorons. Most gays in these pieces of fiction are just that, fiction. Homosexuality isnt a courtesy that you can afford when your species is threatened. In fact, most LGTQ would fall apart the moment society falls apart because you will be existentially worthless. If you cant contribute, and that includes reproduction, you are worthless. And LGTBTQ will come back as being seeing as a social abnormality that needs to be solved or got ridden with. There is a reason that the inclusion of gays in modern post apocalpyse tales is a current year thing and there wasnt that at all in the 70-2000's. With all of that said, TLoU never sold itself as a progressive story, it was about a tale of finding your humanity for Joel and a coming of age for Ellie. She was never the complete focus of the original. That shift began with the garbage DLC and then the sequel. You cant suddenly come out and said it was always that, its fucking dishonest but you fuckers dont have a moral bone in your bodies so I guess being liars aint an issue. We didnt see much of that shit in the original because we still havent reached the cultural degeneration level where that was enough to get you self fart smeller types involved into this industry. And then you have the guts of throwing "we dont want you" card when you wouldnt have a job if it wasnt for people like me spending their hard earned cash into playing your projects. Im sure by then you didnt give a shit but NOW you do, con-fucking-venient, am I right?

I could type more but fuck me, Im tired and Im sure you guys are as well.

People just assume the first Last of Us is pro-LGBTG+/progressive, when in reality, this type has always taken a backseat of the game's writing or story. Yet, now Cuckmann has to use this type of bullshit as the main focus from the second game onward, taking the post-apocalyptic nature themes a back.

Bravo Cuckmann.

the dlc was, so for people who never played the game it means the whole game was.

And the worst part? The Drinker says its the best episode of all of them until now.
I take it the drinker never played the game, so he has no point of reference. as @madethistocomment said, on it's own it's apparently fine (didn't watch it, just my assumption), that's probably why he likes it. for all his complaining about THE MESSAGE, my impression is it's less about THE MESSAGE itself but how it's done; he's not gonna recoil from some gays if it's framed alright, doesn't matter how much post-apoc brokeback mountain makes no sense (and he got shit wrong in the past, so you need his opinion with a huge grain of salt anyway).

I'm playing through 2 properly for the first time myself and I love how obvious it is that Abby and the tranny kid are meant to just be a more diverse do-over of Joel and Ellie, because on some level Cuckman has never gotten over making a game where the lead is a straight white male.
The funny thing is that Joel's last name is Miller, so really he's probably a jew. Druckmann being a self hating jew wouldn't surprise me. Guy seems like a basket case.

God, watching everyone simping for the third episode sickens me to my very core. Not only its a huge separation from the source material but its a borderline fantasious take on homosexual relationships. I mean, basically the episode is "Enough of the plot of the, you know, source material, here is a completely unnecessary change to show you what homosexual couples look like in the eyes of those with low testosterone and grass touching time". Instead of having Joel and Ellie meet Bill, they just meet their bodies and then find his shit and its onwards they go. No more tension and team work, just the plot deciding it has your attention so now its time to appeal to "modern sensitivities" or some garbage like that.

Shit like this reminds me that people deserve what they get. They may complain but then they gladly eat more from them the moment they get some passable. Fucking pathetic.

My god, this series is just revealing most of the people I watch/watched are just following trends. What, Drinker, are you afraid that the entertainment industry will reject you if you dare criticise this piece of globo homo propaganda? I mean, its clear you want to do more with your life, like writing books and being involved in a movie and you cant get anywhere without the elites's favor. Geeks and Gamers also sung their praises for the first ep.

Most of these "critics" have no fucking balls when it matters. Its easy to pick on Abby, no one likes her as much the media pretends its not the case. Its far more risky to go against what is clearly propaganda from the elites.

Then when we get to Abby, everyone will act like they are rebels for saying she is awful, while people like me always knew and will never be recognised for knowing and warning everyone of so.
Drinker is just another faggot sellout that wants to tow the line to keep his subs flowing and not get down throttled. A channel that tried to be this shitty Plinkett ripoff, now wants to be serious and not just shit on globohomo entertainment like he did when he started that got him a fanbase to begin with.

I'm just glad I stopped following him long ago. Sure, he's better than MauLer when constructing his reviews, and even that's on a very low bar. He, along with MauLer, TheQuartering, Midnight's Edge, etc. are stereotyping review culture with their shitty anti-SJW movement that hasn't been relevant after 2017, yet they still keep living rent free in their minds.

Im curious now, who you guys recommend in their place? Not trick question, Im just legit wanting to know new content creators.

I notice the moment these channels try to "expand" into creative endeavers, they tend to soften up their criticism, as if they dont want to piss off the people that are making their projects possible

The popularization of video games was a mistake. The push to have video games seen as art was a mistake. Cut scenes and a focus on story in games was a mistake.

I don't wholeheartedly believe any of the above statements - except maybe the first, as the popularize of anything in current year simply leads to a sharp decrease in quality and a draining of actual talent or fucks given within the industry targeted - but holy fuck, what is that tweet?

"Um, yeah, my game franchise has 2 entries, DLC, a remaster, and a television show. One of the mainline titles is divisive as shit, and the television show hasn't finished airing in all its glory but GoT turned out great so here we go again! Most of its output also came out within the space of 5 years. Yer Halo could never, giga white hetero Chads."

People genuinely think this way. They really fucking do. And that's the worst part.

I get the team mentality, wanting to be hurdle up. It happens in every sphere, male and female, and has probably since the dawn of humanity. It's part of the reason why we're in this current cultural period - narcissists and creeps teaming up to shame the normal assholes so they can be degenerates in private but not feel bad because I helped a black person cross the street or whatever.

But this is absolute lunacy. It's a blatant disregard for reality. You do not have to give a rat's ass about the Halo franchise but claiming TLoU is more iconic than a game franchise twice its age is stupid. And it always happens. Perpetually tossing out or ignoring what came before in the interest of new thing because new thing is all they know about and caters to their flights of fancy. I hate Twittermoids.

TL;DR: :story: indeed.
This is one of the consequences of the geek status being turned into geek chic, after the jocks and the hipsters saw that gaming was a medium that was making more money than the movie business. What used to be a topic of jokes was suddenly hip and cool, these fakes were totally fans of "the thing" that they know nothing about, they just like the idea.
I think TLoU is the worst that could have happen to the medium after the indieshit devs and their walking simulators.

Drinker was ok until he started inviting Mauler in every livestream. Mauler has no knowledge in writing or filmmaking.

For a guy who simps for MauLer and Midnight's Edge and inviting them in his podcast, this is less of a surprise that he's still stuck in 2017.

New episode came out and I still feel like this whole show is just a less exciting version of the game, and that Pedro and Shovelface's performances really pale in comparison to their videogame counterparts. That scene in the truck is way better in the game, really understated in the show, and the bandit ambush was weak as fuck. Like almost everything HBO makes, their action choreography and shooting is fucking dreadful.

Its almost like adapting this already cinematic game was a bad idea or somethin'....

Then again that goes for almost every game adaptation (at best its a "lesser" version of the source material). But this one, that becomes even MORE apparent.

Original Game's Joel and Ellie are far more engaging characters on their writing, "acting" and visual. I dont buy Pedro as a tough guy at all. Game Joel is built like a brick house and it makes sense he can beat/choke motherfuckers and stage 1 infected to death with his bare hands. And when we are seeing him go "all out", he reeks of almost "villanous" energy that adds to his backstory that he had been on "both sides". Its a reminder you REALLY dont want to get on this man's bad side because mercy isnt an option with him.

Game Ellie has this innocence hidden behind her tough rebellious exterior (but she isnt so to the point of self sabotage, she isnt stupid) that has this natural chemistry with Joel because he clearly looks down on her at first but sees she can be resourceful and smart. She was never a "weight" or contantly budding heads with him (outside of very short exchanges maybe) and the closest thing to something detrimental gets solved in a human but honest way because she admits she did grow attached and hates that he acts like he hasnt (when she knows he deep down did).

In a way, the game versions are more human than the ones played by actual humans.

They peaked with early GOT and hasnt been able to reach that level of quality ever since, yes, not even with House of The Dragon (its not latter GOT seasons bad but people saying this is early GOT quality is just desperate), the moment they run out of source material, its all over again. No other show of theirs were able to compare.

In fact, most original streaming service shows tend to suck with some exceptions. They are very overrated.

I feel this exactly. Game Joel is a big ass Texas boy who I can buy as a tough as nails survivor capable of taking the fight to anyone who crosses his path, but in a still somewhat believable way.

In the latest episode Pedro Joel gets kicked over and almost choked to death by a nineteen year old with a bowl cut built like he was held together with vanilla wafers and soy. It's fucking ridiculous, and he has this silly "little kids shouldn't have to kill..." Moment after.

I guess they had to soften him up when they decided to change his skin color, can't have a Mexican guy be arguably villainous, and I have no idea how they're going to rewrite the ending with Joel going full rambo on the dindu Fireflies of the TV show rendition of the character can't even get one over on a teenage boy.

True Blood (even if it was a shitty product of its time) peaked with cinematography before GoT even came out.
