No, it makes perfect sense to me. She's not a 'troll' looking to get a rise out of people, she wants power. She wants to see her actions measurably impact other people's lives ; enraged reactions from people she's upset with her hot takes don't mean shit because they'll move on and forget her, she wants to to be able to leave a mark.

The blocklists were absolutely necessary because the crux of her power was a mob of uwu tenderqueers who'd mass report people and get them deplatformed for saying no-no words. Those people aren't going to engage and follow her if they have to deal with shitlords and terfs in her replies. But those people had no power over us, and I think she learned a lot from that. They got us trending and they mass reported and they cried about what awful people we are, and then they moved on, having accomplished nothing.
