Hogwarts Legacy - Harry Potter open world RPG (no trannies allowed)

Played for a couple of hours so far and have barely progressed the story in favour of exploring the castle. Messing around with doors in portraits, solving a puzzle to unlock secret passages, following floating keys around to find locked chests, following treasure maps and finding little notes that help decode magic doors; the game really nails that Harry Potter feel and sense of discovery.

The main story is nothing notable so far. Really, the most interesting aspect about it has been the Goblin Rebellion developments as they delve a bit into the relations between wizards, Goblin Rebels and regular goblins. These guys are so extreme you have a side quest about dealing with them threatening, mugging and abusing one Goblin Artist for not joining the revolution. Though I do find it fucking hilarious that a bunch of dangerous terrorists has settled into the countryside, are terrorizing the surrounding villages and towns right outside the most prestigious school in the Wizarding World; and the only person doing anything about it is the fucking school kids.

Three things that have annoyed me so far:

1 - You have to manually re-apply your desired cosmetic gear every time you equip something new.

2 - The counter/parry button is the same button you place a spell in, so often you'll find yourself failing your counter because the game will still think you're holding the 'use abilities' button even two seconds after you've let go, which is a real bitch in a chaotic battle.

3 - When fighting multiple wizard enemies, the auto aim started really screwing with me as my guy starts randomly shooting at the farfest mother fucker while Duncan McNasty is dry humping him. And then I'll use the lock on system to control my shots; only for the system to either refuse to lock onto certain enemies or my guy will flat out attack everybody BUT the person I'm targeting. Aiming at the right guy is pretty damn important when the enemies start having spell-specific shields on them.

I just unlocked the talent trees and got a boost of euphoria from turning incendiary into a fucking fire bomb and accio into a group hug. It's fucking bonfire night for the Goblins!

It's funny but his take is that you can buy the product without supporting Rowling's views. Which misses the point because Rowling's views are that dudes shouldn't suddenly get access to women's spaces because they put on a dress. She is funding a shelter for female domestic abuse victims and it wont let in men in dresses. This is a good thing!

Someone needs to make the case to this guy that his message actually isn't on point but perpetuating this idea that she's a horrible bigot. Not wanting men in the women's toilets is not hatred you have to distance yourself from.
But you're indirectly contributing to her getting paid. That's the issue the people seem to have. I would simply pirate it.

Is DLC confirmed or is that just an assumption? I feel like they're going to add Quidditch at a much later date given that the grounds are fully made already.
It would print money, but they might be clinically retarded and STILL kowtow to the .02% of the population screeching instead of the millions happily buying it. There’s about a half million people playing now on steam alone and it’s not even out properly yet.

Combat is pretty bland, outside of that the graphics, sound and world is well done. lots of customization, I think probably the most in terms of dress-up games. The base character presets are not very customizable, the black hairstyles in particular are done better then any game I seen where you can create a character.

Graphics: 9/10
Sound: 9/10
Gameplay: 7.5/10
Controls/Options: 8.5/10

Game deserves an 8/10 in my opinion, my personal rating is 7/10 because I am not a huge fan of the combat and to me that is really important. If the game had a really fun and refined combat system I would have gave it a 9/10.

I don’t think anyone gave a shit about the plot of the game, I don’t understand what this is supposed to accomplish. 99.99% of people would be playing the game if it didn’t have a plot.
I mean, even if I cared about the plot, why would a one-line "spoiler" bother me? Only someone with the brain of a child would think knowing some "twist" means a work of fiction is no longer worth experiencing.

Anyway, I hope troons keep trying to spoil people's enjoyment and calling them Hitler for playing a video game. The more normies see how deranged these people are, the better.

Have you tried it with the plants you get from herbology? I know you're referring to the base stuff but I'm curious if mixing things up could help a bit.

Ha, kind of reminds me a Terry Pratchett quote

“Racism was not a problem on the Discworld, because—what with trolls and dwarfs and so on—speciesism was more interesting. Black and white lived in perfect harmony and ganged up on green.”
And then Pratchett did do some stuff on racism which also included “Just because someone's a member of an ethnic minority doesn't mean they're not a nasty small-minded little jerk.”
The amount of people I’ve seen posting the spoilers as a “YOU DON’T NEED TO PLAY IT” or a “THERE IT’S RUINED FOR YOU” is really funny to me as basically fucking nobody is playing it for the story.
Apparently drunks sauntering past queues to buy the books on release day used to yell spoilers at people. They were roundly mocked in a lot of media. Somehow I suspect this sad behaviour will not get the same.

And honestly from what I'm hearing of the plot they genuinely should have just not had one and just made it entirely about going through a year at Hogwarts and hanging out with people.

I'm having a bunch of fun so far, not a massive HP fan, just saw my friends playing and it looked pretty good.

The set pieces are nice, voice acting is surprisingly great and I am really impressed by the facial expressions of all characters, performance could be better but I'm not going to complain too much about that, my PC ain't the best.

I actually am looking forward to finishing work to go home and play more, a game hasn't done that to me in YEARS.

Imagine comparing a convicted pedo (had pics of his daughter btw) to someone who hurt your fee fees on Twitter and thinking it's even in the same universe of "bad people".

My biggest letdown on this game that there is no "It's Ma'am" style confrontation video at a Gamestop yet over this game. If they can be unhinged online, there has to be some IRL moments over this game for me to watch.
Most troons are either morbidly obese or bone skinny, or have no muscle definition at all. Most don’t have the Abby Armstrong build like Tiffany Moore. They can only act tough online.

Is the game actually good?
If you like open-world RPGs and Harry Potter it's pretty decent.

I've not played an open-world RPG since Bonerlands and this seems more "open" if you will already. I'm fucking lost all the time, hogwarts is entirely made of staircases and hallways holy fuck
