General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

For the sake of context and just in case some of the tweets or whatever out there end up getting lost or deleted I had gone digging around looking for examples of what her "distasteful jokes" might have been and these are what I generally see getting posted and shared around. People say there's more but I didn't find any clips to present.



According to comments the context of the second clip being that the girl she's looking at had been raped so her joke was "no wonder she got....(raped)"

Nothing I personally raise an eyebrow at but, in the same vein as others have said, also just the kind of stuff that you just don't say if you're a holo or niji where the corpo enviroment is just not gonna be friendly to the more edgy humor.

They keep acting like this is something that people should have expected, but it's really the first time I've seen people target streamers for simply playing a game on this level. People who continued to play Blizzard games after half that company was canceled never got this kind of hate. Probably because most of these assholes are still playing those games like complete hypocrites.

JK even put out a movie in the past year and I didn't see this kind of campaign against it. They just singled out this one game specifically. Very weird.

I forgot to post this one. Axel revealed the design of the axelotls. The prototype was drawn by his manager. After that stream, she got some human fanart as well (before that she was depicted as a gorilla).

Maybe we can collectively black list and shun everyone who's angy over Legacy. That would be nice.

The people who are mad about JK still want to watch the movies, they can't boycott that.

People can hate a game for whatever retarded reason they want.

But anybody trying to control what people play or watch needs to be told to fuck off every time. There is no appeasing someone like that. Hell they are still going after Pikamee even after she caved and canceled the stream.

Well, that's to be expected. The best thing to do with them is have people go to their homes to beat them senseless, but if that isn't available, the next best thing to do is ignore them. Because the minute they get any power, it makes them figure they can enjoy even more sadism. A lot of these people didn't even know that Pikamee was out there before this, and now the worst people around will just target her until there is some kind of effective countermeasure. Hope Kson or someone helps her (Kson is an old hand at dealing with this sort of thing, after all).

They are going after her because she caved. These vultures go after anyone who shows even the slightest hint of weakness.
I really hope that causing distress to someone as universally liked as Pika comes back to bite them in the ass, now that people have started noticing just how awful and deranged they are.
As for the wizard game, they are literally just giving it even more free advertising - it hit a peak of just under 500K players today, and that's just the Steam deluxe edition pre-order players. JK is laughing into her pile of money right now.

I've only seen clips of her but from what I saw and understand from this thread she seems to be a vtuber who doesn't want to hurt anyone and just wants to have genuine fun. Seeing the troons and their simps try to fuck that up is a sad thing to see. I imagine her not grasping what these creatures are and how they operate and/or maybe some naivete is what made her cancel the stream.
