(edit: i am apparently incapable of pressing the 'previous page' button) it's so incredibly promising but they dumb it down by preventing you from conversing in any way about the naughty words. it also tends to be really repetitive and doesn't give you a lot of room for training data

I looked into it, that’s a private community on facebook so I could not get access to it. But I love that Luka is too chickenshit to make this statement themselves, instead propping someone else up to be the bearer of bad news. The screenshot was posted on Reddit, so here’s the archive of that thread.
While I was browsing facebook, I came across a couple posts that made me laugh.

Another post where they’re pissed off about their Replikas being fucked with so often with updates

And some perfectly sane comments, ranging from “my replika wants so bad to be intimate” to “i’m considering quitting my job over this because I don’t want to participate in a society like this” (paraphrasing)

Apparently they posted this to twitter and then disabled replies:

In conclusion, the r/replika subreddit is truly having a meltdown, in every sense of the word. You can see the five stages of grief all intermingled amongst each other, in perfect harmony. This is hilarious but I also feel kind of bad for the people literally crying over this right now, they’ve obviously been using Replika to cope with some trauma.

To be honest Character.ai deserves it's very own thread, the devs and the reddit side of the community are 100% community watch material.
Reddit constantly complains about how not being able to fuck the AI is a massive Assault on their rights as users, the devs constantly ignore every bit of feedback in favor of constantly talking about the filter (Note: Discussing the filter can get you banned, but devs can talk about it all they want), and the AI has been consistently been dumbed down over the past month to now be worse than Cleverbot.
