Mega Rad Gun Thread

are ETS glock magazines shit? i've got the dagger and a couple pmags for it but i'd prefer a transparent magazine if they're reliable.
they're pretty decent range magazines but i've had iffy experiences on durability and the follower sticking when dirty, especially using a suppressor or when trying to clear a shoot house and dropping mags on concrete and other sillier things. they are head and shoulders above triple-K and most Pro-mags though and the more standard patterns like Glock and AR-15 work well enough for typical bench and unsupported shooting.

How about SGM mags, what's the verdict on those? They look a bit more solid than the ETS ones.
I don't have any of their Glork mags but I have 4 of their 5.56 Saiga mags.
Only think I had to do was remove the little bullet bump off of them.
My riffle is converted including a feed ramp so it's a normal thing to do to the mags.
They are better feeling in the hand than my ETS mags.
I don't shoot that thing much and I'm not overly rough with it so I can't really say how tough they are.
If I HAD to pick between the two I'd take the SGM over the ETS.
To be 100% with you tho I would just stick with factory Glork mags for cereal biz and Magpul magazines for the money saving at the range and practice.

That's exactly what I have right now, just Glock and Magpul. I'll pick up a couple of those 33 rounder SGM mags for some range fun.

Does anyone recognize the suppressor & handguard on this Ukrainian's rifle, seen after zapping a Russian trying to storm their trench.

The stubby can & slotted handguard got my attention & reminded me of something, but I can't place it.

@Pocket Dragoon
Probably isn't a suppressor, it is either a "Bulgy" (Bulgarian) 4 piece flash hider or the Ukrainian Clone of it sold by Strela. Very popular style of muzzle device among both Russian/DPR/LPR troops and Ukrainians. It's construction is essentially a user serviceable suppressor with a single baffle

i use SGM interchangeably on my Kriss Vector and several Glock 20, 21, and 22's (basically some popular full sizes and extended sizes, never tried the compact sizes) and they've worked perfectly fine in all my uses over the years. the Magpul Glock mags seem to work pretty well too but i've heard of issues in extremely cold and extremely hot weather.
suppressor & handguard
as was mentioned, that looks like a DTK or clone linear compensator, not a suppressor. the handguard reminds me of a mix between a Magpul MOE and the Strike Industries Viper but it's hard to say without a better look at it.

That madman first picks up an AK after using the RPG, and tags the leftovers charging his trench with it.

Then swaps it for the AR off the ground (I'm guessing it's probably a Fort clone) & blasts the trench wall trying to finish off the Russian.

What is the logic behind 2 point vs. 3 point slings? Personally I have a ferro concepts 2 point adjustable sling which I like.

I'd like to see Karl work out while carrying a rifle (do that phys session he did for InRange), half way through have him stop and shoulder the rifle. If he did that a couple of times he'd see why the 3 point sling is a thing.

in my experience, 2 points are for bush/base carry and as a shooting aid, 3 points are for retention especially for motorized or mechanized soldiers. single point is for immediate action or pistol lanyards and is retarded to use over an alternate configuration for a 3 point if you have a larger weapon.

Correction, it wasn't an AR used in the trench-defense video; although I'd still love to know what he's got:

Since the war started, I've been keeping an eye on what's available & prices in Ukraine on Ibis.net.ua; essentially their version of Dick's Sporting Goods or Big R.

They have everything, from Grots to AUGs.

Originals, yes; but it appears they've been copied more recently as well; this one is $650.

Also in Ukraine, 9x21 is used to avoid the civilian restrictions regarding 9x19mm, a lot of the modern PCCs I see for sale there are also in 9x21.
Oh, that's pretty cool that someone would reproduce a classic gun like that. Do they do the pistols also?

That $650 only gets you the reproduction holster.
Figured it wouldn't be that cheap.
