Megathread SRS and GRS surgeons and associated horrors - the medical community of experimental surgeons, the secret community of home butchers

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
The hands remind me of people who've had multiple dialysis fistulae on the same limb/multiple recanalizations of failed fistulae, or a vascular steal hand.

...jeez, these ladies are all about a life of recurrent UTIs and urinary outlet problems, starting in their 20s. Some of them are going to need a dialysis fistula, and they'll already be one arm down for vascular access options.
All of them will have kidney issues later in life (if they last long to see it). Multiple infections, NSAID chronic use, acute loss of blood, nephrotoxic medication, obstructive urinary syndrome... I bet some of them had an acute kidney injury, and that means chronic kidney disease in the future. These arms won't help the girls, and some guys probably won't be candidates to peritoneal dialysis.

Even now I am surprised why surgery like this is even legal. If this were any other sort of plastic surgery procedure, it would have been outlawed years ago for both the expected outcomes and complications that inevitably result.

Is there a such thing as a developed country that bans SRS? Sometimes, physicians have to refuse to do a procedure for a patient's own well-being.

That said...

There are several technical and structural peculiarities of Jamie Reed's affidavit itself that are making me uneasy. I'm not going to get specific because I don't wish to provide ammunition to those trying to discredit her. However, I'm concerned that someone with even a passing knowledge of medicine or the relevant science could raise questions regarding whether Reed has a sufficient grasp of the theoretical underpinnings of her statements and whether she is even qualified to make some of the assertions she does.

I want to be clear that I believe that the premise is solid and her statements factual. The devil is in the details, though, and I have reservations about the manner of expression. I'm curious about how this affidavit came about. It's troubling to me that anyone who might have something important to say would not bother to write well enough to be taken seriously or verify the technical details of their claims.

Tl,dr: Jesus Christ, hire a technical writer.
Not clear on what you're insinuating. Remember this woman isn't claiming to be a medical expert or provider. She has a BA and essentially worked as Receptionist+.

She has a master's degree, but that's not what I meant. I just think she should have stuck to the known facts that were in her bailiwick. Some of the medical details that she included are straight up wrong, and I struggle to see why she brought them up at all. It just provides an opportunity for someone to discredit the entire thing.

She's also married to a troon and raising children with him, so that really gives me pause.

*her- it's a pooner troon

I mean if she wasn't a stupid, amoral lesbian* she never would have gotten up to her neck in trooning out kids to start with, yeah. And she clearly still believes there are some mythical troo trans who should get interventions as kids.

But as far as "facts within her bailiwick" you have already poisoned the well enough for any opponents who want to go fishing (not that they needed your help). Why not spit out whatever it is you want to say, or refrain from poisoning it in the first place? Oh- doctor ego, I suspect. Always have to make sure the little lay-folks stay down in their places by harrumphing up your sleeve about some technical detail that wasn't important enough to specify, somehow.

*made babies with a man, then got with a lezzer, who trooned out, and is covered with tats- she has BPD, no need for an interview or chart review.

One of the things I go back to: If you did this procedure on a dog, even if you thought you were "helping" the dog, you would probably go to jail for animal cruelty.

How many other human medical procedures would send you to jail if you were to do them on a dog?
I think the surgeons that do SRS are probably even more dysfunctional than troons themselves in some cases.

Is there a "detransitioner" flag, yet?

Time went by quickly! I’m 2 weeks post-op today, damn!

Some things changed. I got a lot more wound separation on the attachment of my dick as you can see, the wounds on the sides of my balls got bigger and also the wound on the underside of my penis got somewhat bigger. I’m not really worried as I have seen a lot of examples of the healing process already. I just think it’s gross lol

I’ll spare you the close-up pictures lol, but I will maybe post the healing process once everything closes up nicely. I’m looking forward to it!

I’m trying to keep all my wounds dry with gauzes, but it gets nasty and damp under my penis really quickly. So my surgeon prescribed me some silver alginate dressings to dress my wound with, and now it’s so much better to deal with ☺️!

The pain increased the past week, mainly in my groin. Pretty weird right? Did anyone else have that? Luckily it was manageable with pain killers and lying down haha

I also noticed that I lose some weight, even though I’ve been eating a lot for a sedentary person. Pretty crazy how much energy it takes for your body to heal from surgery! I’m going to kick up my calories a notch 💪🏻!

I will have another check-up with my surgeon next Thursday, but I think everything is going well :)! I can’t wait for the wound separation to close up and for the swelling to go down🙏🏻
FYI since r/metoidioplasty got banned r/metoidio has taken its place.

That's one visually-confusing set of genitals. The phallus is so perfectly cylindrical, but then the end is a little sunken clitoral head that's becoming an innie again.

It's like someone attached a miniature version of a pocket pussy in place of a penis.

Call me a simpleton, but if that’s the case, then why is the forearm considered a good option for the donor tissue? Or, if they’re going to take it from there, why not go less deep? And is surgeon skill an element, either in precision of depth, or just overall minimization of potential permanent harm? I mean, I suppose surgeon skill is always an element of that for anything, but I mean - does this kind of outcome mean that the surgeon was sub-par, or is it an inherent risk and probable outcome no matter who performs it?
Considering the hack jobs that pass for mastectomies I don't think any of these surgeons are particularly skilled.

So why exactly isnt the thigh used more often? Seems like 90% of them utilize the arm, which based on eye test alone leaves it marred and impaired(seriously shit gives me the same sinking feeling in my stomach that seeing an amputee does). Imagine losing your arm because of one of these operations, the amount of regret, and anger that would result could destroy a person.

Impaired leg is worse ?

The fact that it is so reflective and smooth looking in the light makes her mangled genitalia look like a silicone prosthetic.

She should have saved herself the trouble and gotten a double-ended strap-on so she could larp as a male without destroying her ability to even have sex at all.

Skeletal muscle can regenerate, as it contains myosatellite cells that are basically stem cells that are found in skeletal muscle tissue that can give rise to new muscle fibers. However, it is a slow, and lengthy process, and if the skeletal muscle injury is too great, the affected muscle will often just fill the damaged area with scar tissue.

What happens with these phalloplasty donor sites, is that the underlying innervation and blood supply of the muscle often gets damaged in the aftermath of tissue harvesting to create the neophallus in addition to the risk of damaging the integrity of the surface musculature itself due to how deep the surgeon often goes when they "peel" off the surface layers of skin and other connective tissues.

Since skeletal muscle needs functional innervation and circulation to maintain tone and regulation, if the nerves or vascularity in the area are damaged, the muscle tissue that is associated with it will shrink and permanently atrophy as a result.
Very interesting to know I will say that Ashton doesn't seem to have the same weird concave scar that a lot of other trannies do. I think she got lucky in this regard because I see people who look like God damn ghouls from fallout.

Show us your sausage roll Ashton. Lets see that euphoria
