China is also interesting because they take advantage of US's global police and bullying stance and use that advantageously in propaganda. Any US action again China = "They are bullying us and we are innocent".
Now anyone without brain damage realizes the geopolitical propaganda at play, but smooth brain progressives buy into it. For reasons, the fact that the CCP has an established perimeter on what gets in and out of China (to the best of their abilities) is convenient neglected.
I see it all the time where the left praises China for some accomplishment and attribute it to socialist policies, while also never hearing the chinks' stance on fags, trannies, blacks
China is very much into soft power. Minor PL, I've written government deliverables about China as a threat from a cybersecurity perspective. The easiest way to describe their power projection and global status is it's very Jewy in nature. I'm not saying it's necessarily wrong from their perspective as a global power, but they strongly believe in Sun Tzu's philosophy and try to incorporate it. Specifically trying to win without fighting.
The only real difference between the PRC and US is that the PRC is in 2nd place and uses it to their advantage. That and the willingness to abuse hwite altruism for their means.

My dream for 2024: I don't know why people were saying a red tsunami was coming, it lacked the tell tale signs; the tides did not retreat before the wave. If Republicans use ballot harvesting tactics that democrats do like having drop boxes in high concentrated Democrat areas. My dream is simple, very small day of turn up by the Republicans for voting, the tide retreating, and then all the mail in ballots that bring the red wave.

When the house of Saud wants something, they have two negotiation tactics: changing the price if oil, or threatening to price oil transactions in a different currency. They've issued this exact statement maybe a dozen times over the last thirty years.

This is not remotely the first time this game has played out. This was explained to you in that Ukraine thread when you were peddling the same claims this recycling now: the Saudis start talking about dropping the petrodollar when they want something from the west. At the time, we speculated it was the US turning a blind eye to the Saudi slaughtering the houthis, which is what seems to have happened.

Exactly. I have my doubts that the Saudis are just fucking itching to get their hands on some rubles or yuan.
They're posturing for something they want. If we'd stayed the course with Trump and continued to develop domestic oil production, we wouldn't even need to entertain the conversation. They'd just be begging us to unload their freighters.
But no, Biden hamstrung that literally day one of his term. Globalism is dying a slow death. Trump was happy to accelerate that to land the US in an advantageous position down the line. The left, and the broader establishment, are happy to sacrifice that to pull a few more bucks from the system.
I really think the USA comes out on top in the long term, but we might not recognize the country as it was. The next decade or so is going to be interesting.

The fact that they now refer to it as BRIC instead of BRICS should be all the indication as to how well that's going. Even if they're going to try slot Saudi Arabia in instead of South Africa, both are hugely disfunctional states that likely won't survive the 2030s at the current rate.
BRIC alongside that is one of those economic units that only really makes sense in a world where free trade is global and safety assured, alongside America being an everpresent big bad to rail against.
Brazil is too isolated to really economically interface with the other three, plus imagine relying on the Brazilian economy lmao.
India, Russia and China do have land borders, true, but their population cores are all isolated from each other by hard geographic borders such as Siberia or the Himalayas, overground trade is possible, sure, but it's nowhere near as efficient as seaborne trade and relys on naval capacity to protect it.
Alongside that we are assuming that the Indians and Chinese are actually capable of having a positive long term relationship, especially in an era where China is pushing to be a major power, I find it foolish to believe the Indians just accept this, especially seeing as they haven't before. Russia and China are at this point tied together, true, but that's not exactly a favourable exchange for the Russians and the Chinese pretty much are just raping them for whatever they can get out of it and cheap raw materials. Plus their trade capacity is limited by distance and the fact there's fucking Siberia in the way, not exactly the easiest place to transist. Even when it comes to oil for the Russians they can't sell the Chinese all their oil because all theirs oilfield pipelines aren't linked up and those are some really expensive and long term projects to go about solving that.
The fate or the Petrodollar is a bit more nebulous really, the Americans are at this point somewhat beyond the need for it, sure they bitch about fuel prices but do ultimately have the capacity to become self sufficient if they actually try. The Petrodollar has been more one of those things propped up for the the sake of American allies even if they say they want to use Russian oil for security reasons (lol). (I must also insert a "don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up" just to appear somewhat fair)
The dollar is likely still destined to be the currency of global exchange moving forward however, mostly because there isn't really a currency in the position to challenge it. To be the global currency you need a fair few things, such as size, being large enough that a couple of nations doing large scale trades aren't enough to wildly swing the value of it, so smaller economy nations are out, you need transparency and reliability, which somehow the fed is the "best" at; The Chinese Yuan is manipulated so heavily that every time they open it up to the world, their citizens try to get rid of it for more reliable currency, so they keep it on lockdown. The Euros were another compelling option until the GFC, where they did some stuff that completely ruined confidence in them, I think they seized Investor accounts to pay off Greek debts or something like that; but Euro trading now is mostly just done between Euro nations, not globally. Even as the US makes moves to benefit it's economy the world still thinks it as the best option.

Having GOP ballot harvesters get beaten up is a small price to pay to try and actually stop the election fraud. Besides, having it happen traps both Rs, Ds and Independents into the position of having to actually address ballot harvesting. Either make it illegal, admit Dems use it and want the GOP not to use it, allow the GOP to use it, come clean and admit elections are fraudulent, radicalize GOP into taking radical action... Anything that will upset the status quo at this point would be a decent alternative to the rot.

Ballot harvesting is just the tip of the iceberg though. They still have to address all the other stuff like:
No chain of custody
No signature matching
Voting machines deliberately sabotaged
No time limits on how early to "vote" nor how long it takes to "count"
And like we saw last year in AZ, they can literally just refuse to let red areas vote on Election Day.
IMO that's why what happens in Arizona right now is so pivotal. Last year's election fraud was way worse than even 2020 to the point that most people in the state actually saw with their own eyes and KNOW that it was stolen, but Republican leadership still just cucks out anyway. If it's allowed to stand over there in a red state, then what's to keep them from just playing Calvinball rules in every other part of the country from now on? They will let some RINO patsy win every now and then to show how "fair" it is while everyone who's an actual threat to their power gets the Kari Lake treatment.
