Whatever else you want to say about her, it's very clear to me what Smee's parenting style (if you want to call it that) was. Chantal would act out or fuck up or have a tantrum, and Smee would scream at her. But she'd scream at her as she was cleaning up the mess Chantal had made or bailing her out of trouble or whatever. Chantal has never faced an actual consequence in her life, that's obvious. No matter what she did, the only "consequence" to her actions was a screaming match with mom. (And contrary to the "beat your kids more" meme, I think this got physical more than once -- at least until Chantal learned to fight back.) Once she learned to endure that (and maybe even shut it down by fighting back either physically or verbally) then she never really had to worry about any situation she put herself in. She also figured out how to use that to bully people into submission proactively to keep them in line or get what she wanted, which meant she didn't have to do much about anything else at all and thus avoid all adult responsibilities.We may have our answer for the absence, being back at the villa, and the "i'm going to stay in a hotel" in addition to the usual "punishing" her audience and hiding naughty activities. Cuntie's enabling family may have actually pushed back a little at their home and dirty laundry (there's a pun to be had here) being aired. This may be super autistic but the research on parenting is interesting when you control for genetics. Behavioural genetics research has consistently showed that genes are the major systematic force causing the differences between individuals. While the environment a person grows up in matters, it's largely asystematic, meaning unpredictable and random. That's why we don't really have any good research showing that X parenting style contributes to Y behaviour when also controlling for genes (like in adoption studies). It's just not systematic like that and different kids will react differently to the same environmental stimulus.
The noise is her fucked up jaws coming close to dislocating from TMJ. It probably contributes in a small way to her uneven swollen face. She could manage the pain by taking common sense measures but lol no, brown comfort food takes priority.

This makes sense for a 17 year old single mom (and let's be real, the odds Grams was a better mom to Smee than Smee to Chins, are not fantastic. So it's not like the hatchling Gunt had any healthy conflict resolution modeled for her from any of these women. Just pudding cups).
Anyway. She's streaming now and just ate a tuna sandwich she clearly did not make at home (perfect toast-marks on the bread, and the filling and lettuce just looked like something you'd get in a cafeteria). I believe it was from Cora's, which makes a tuna sandwich that looks a lot like that, and from which Chantal has ordered before (they do a lot of fancy breakfasts). It's also among the more expensive places to eat at for that sort of thing (think of a super nice iHOP with fresh fruit cut into flowers everywhere or Denny's with actual chefs and real potatoes in their hashbrowns). Yes! I have been thinking about this a lot lately in regard to Chantal and how people say she was raised. Not to PL or sperg,- I was also raised spoiled as fuck. Not rich people spoiled, just middle class spoiled, so that it was a shock in a half when I got my first job at 19 and realized what hard work and what little money you get. UNLIKE our favorite ham planet, my brain went the other way and had revelations about the cost of living and how fucking babied I'd been.
TMJ is very common in overweight people and it makes being around them (especially whilst they're eating) even more painful than it already needs to be. There's simple exercises that can relieve the pain and joint stiffness, but obviously the only exercise Gunt is going to get is opening and shutting the damn thing. Which will only make it worse. I can't wait for the ER BEEZE! when her mouth seizes up altogether.
