Has anyone asked him why he doesnāt get his rich best friend/landlord to sort this out? According to Ralph, the guy has major pull with the local authorities.
Iām guessing he also has to pay a reconnection fee and they donāt just āflip the switchā to turn it on (or off). They come to the property and shut that shit down at the meter. They probably have to make an appointment for reconnection and wait their turn. Is Mexican bureaucracy known for efficiency and speed?

Also, what must the temperature in that house be after several hours of no AC? It was 90 degrees today and itāll only drop to the 70s overnight. And in the dark too, I doubt the Ralphamale has a flashlight. And him furious with May, and the baby probably irritable and crying because itās hot as fuckā¦They can go someplace like a bar that has AC but theyāll have to go back once everything closes.

It's like this because the water system is so over subscribed they don't have enough capacity to have full time running water. So you have to store it in a pit at ground level (cisterna) while its on. And hope you stored enough to carry you through to the next time its on.
You pump it to the roof and let gravity pressurize you plumbing.

That was my thought too, but, how long have they been there? It shouldnāt have been long enough to rack up an unplayable bill, as poor as they obviously are.
My bet is running his mouth and cussing at someone (probably a āwhoreā aka woman) who works there and now he has to beg a supervisor to give him power back.
