I didn't notice the blue shirt light shorts guy was in the bar at the start, as my eyes were drawn to the guy wearing the hooped top firing the shotgun.

Was it purely a robbery or a targeted hit? Woman wasn't shot, but blue top took her bag at gunpoint. Both shooters collected wallets from tables, odd behaviour if it was just a hit.

Two men killed six people — among them, a 12-year-old teenager, after losing a game in a bar, in the neighborhood of Jardim Lisboa, in Sinop, 504 km from Cuiabá, this Tuesday afternoon (21). According to the Military Police, the colleagues "mocked" them for having lost the match.

According to Lieutenant Romening dos Santos Silva, the men lost the first game, went to get more money, returned to the bar and lost again. After being the butt of jokes by the people participating in the game, they went to the car and took out two guns.

One of them, with a short weapon, subdued the people and placed them against the wall. While the other arrived with a shotgun and shot the victims. Still according to the police, five men and the teenager were killed.

The fact that these men will get only 30 years maximum infuriates me. I hate this country so fucking much.

I don't agree. There shouldn't be child murders on here, but I think accidents are acceptable.

You know how women enjoying true crime is said to be a subconscious way to learn about the psychology of criminals and victims, and how to avoid being a victim yourself?

I think it's the same mentality for watching these videos. Aside from a smaller number of sadists, the curiosity that drives us is ultimately because we don't want to end up in those situations ourselves, and these videos educate us about reality in a way that nothing else can. It is for me anyway. I don't mean consciously deciding "I will study true crime and death videos to avoid becoming a statistic", but the subconscious motive driving the fascination.

Then there is the comedic aspect: the harsh humour helps us to deal with the harsh reality of the world. I'm not funny or creative myself, but I enjoy all of your humour about this. I feel society in general curtailing the type of humour that was common only 20 years ago stunts us by removing this coping mechanism.

The reason I would be opposed to posting child murders is because it could attract sadistic paedophiles to this thread and to the Farms. Also because it would lack most of the educational and humour value described above.

Whereas children behave differently to adults, so are prone to different sorts of accidents and situations. So there is specific value in watching child accidents. I personally can't watch most of them, but it's not justifiable to ban them, in my opinion.

Animal torture is entirely off topic, is just upsetting without the value, and will definitely become a thread for lurcking zoosadists to wank to.

I try to not remain so pessimistic. Statistically speaking, pockets of Texas have gone to total shit since Katrina. Garland is one of them. The area where this particular store is located is weird. It’s not a total ghetto fuckhole (still bad though). That Texaco gas station is located almost caddy-corner to a library, and a stone throw away from an elementary school. That’s the part that bothers me most, I suppose.
