I would hope that there’s some mechanism whereby if you show up incapacitated due to your prescription medication they’re still able to tell you to fuck off, regardless of if you’re allowed to be on it.

And if you show up for a visitation where you have to pass drug tests and you're slurring and out of it you're probably not gonna see your kid.

Having a Xanax prescription isn't gonna help much if you're slurring, out of it, and smell like a brewery.

Yes, they can if its a lab test. If it's just a piss in a cup with with color coded stick then no.

Most depositions start out with a question as to whether you're on any drugs that would impact your ability to give accurate testimony. If you are, they can call it off because they don't want to waste time on some drugged out loser's testimony he can just disavow later claiming he was too wasted to give testimony.

Show up in court that way and they can send you straight to jail for contempt as it is effectively a failure to appear.

And if you show up for a visitation where you have to pass drug tests and you're slurring and out of it you're probably not gonna see your kid.

They might not arrest you but they don't have to let an obviously drugged out individual have visitation. If you are too wasted all the time to take care of a child, and you claim you have to be that way because of some "medical" condition, tough shit, that's just a reason for you to lose custody rights entirely.
