You're correct. Even with him mixing it with alcohol he's very unlikely to OD. Now if he added in some opiates then the risk of respiratory depression is very real, but just xanax and alcohol isn't going to do it.

Doubt. He makes enough money and his cost of living is low enough that he will not run out of money for drugs.
