None of us knew anything about the dangers of using benzos daily. One day he went to use the restroom at work and woke up two days later in the hospital. He had a grand mal seizure in the restroom and cracked his head on the toilet. He would have died had he not been discovered and rushed to the hospital. Only after tests did they realize he was dealing with a cute benzo withdraw so started low dose Ativan to try and taper. He had little memory of the entire week in the hospital, even though he was supposed conscious on day two. He definitely seemed to have lost 20 IQ points after this and still continued to use benzos. Drug addicts don’t give a fuck.
