I finally realized what that stain reminds me of—it looks like what happens when you use dipping tobacco, spit into a cup, and some of the dip spit gets on your finger. Certainly it doesn't look like anything that happens when smoking cigs, even if you roll your own.

I wonder if it might actually be blood. If you're snorting drugs a lot, you can easily get nose bleeds. Perhaps she fiddled with her dry nose, there was some minor bleeding, and she didn't realize.
