By FFG flaunting her success in getting BBJ, even with the neglect being confirmed, it vindicates Chantal: she didn’t put the cat down, and really did give her to a VIB who promised a loving home. Even if it only happened an hour before the execution time, and even if it was a complete stranger that she didn’t actually know,,, she still told the truth about that.

If she had half a brain cell she’d say “see! You now have proof that I wasn’t lying!”

As a cat person, I wish upon Chantel a lifetime of painful ingrown infected toenails that dig deep into her flesh, where the only cure is euthanasia.

I have some experience doing diabetic wound care. If Chantal lives long enough and isn’t a dehydrated desert corpse alongside those camels soon, she is likely to suffer far worse.

It still won’t be enough punishment (diabetic neuropathy means decreased pain sensation even when the toes are completely black and rotting off), but it’s a start.

FFG may be a lot of things (as someone already mentioned - noted in the HN thread), but as fat as Chantal? Hardly. Chantal has eaten herself into disfigurement. Her gunt has grown so large, that it’s now a “fat apron” which hangs to her knees.

FFG is fat, but not death fat status yet, and looks maybe around 180-200lbs? Chantal is twice that weight.
As far as her pet parenting, I’ll go out on a limb and guess she’s a better pet parent than most. Ollie (one of her dogs that died) had kidney failure. She could have easily euthanized that dog as soon as they told her he was terminal, but she didn’t. She tried keeping him alive with expensive vet treatments. I know it’s expensive because I went through the same thing with one of my dogs. Let me just say, you don’t go through all of that if you’re a shitty pet parent. She obviously has love her dogs.

Also, even if her sister in law is bed bound, her brother obviously isn’t and didn’t look like a fatty either from the quick glimpse we got at the door, so that has to count for something.

I have never delved into the Chantal or Beezer threads because it simply seemed daunting to venture into several thousand pages of lore. This arc has changed my mind. I will certainly set aside some time for reading into this fat fucking waste of air.

One thing no one has pointed out yet is that Chantal did not vet the people she gave her cats to (although very obvious at this point). FFG would have never ended up with BBJ in the family if Chantal had bothered to properly vet the new owners. Additionally, I think it worked in FFG's favor to not bring the cat on the livestream. Chantal is screaming exploitation, and FFG easily could have brought the cat on for exploitation purposes. So thank God, BBJ got that vet appointment. Chantal had let her nails grow until they were embedded into her toe-beans again. Five nails puncturing her feet! Poor cat. The vet removed them but the cat was screaming in pain.

how and why does this happen to cats? ive been around cats for years and never seen something like that. they all constantly scratch things outside with their claws (mostly wooden fence posts in my case) and i think that naturally keeps them from becoming ingrown or shit like that. is it because chantals cats are so old that they cant do this normally anymore?

It can be from old age because they aren't scratching and it's also common with cats with extra toes.
