Serious cat question, is it unique to Maine Coons to have the claws grow 360 back into the pads? I've never known this to happen to any cat I've owned nor friends/family, they always sharpen on a cat tree/cardboard plank and/or shed them on the carpet. I've never seen it even be a possibility on other breeds. Even if you ignored the cat I'd think it would groom on a couch/doorframe somewhere as a "fuck you".

A huge issue can be crystals in the urine due to stress. The crystals can block the urethra and cause all kinds of trouble, so watching bbj hunt for water in the last few days was really disturbing.

Further sperging but I think this needs to be said to maybe prevent other sperging. Going by the fact that BBJ went to the vet sometime in February and supposedly had her claws clipped. It takes close to a year for the claws to become long enough to flip back into the pad.

Like in humans, the nails are different on each digit, some nails grow faster and sharper. It’s usually the center two and thumb that grows the fastest. That said, the last time she got them clipped, they most likely were not clipped as far back as usual since we all know she didn’t clip them at home. They wouldn’t want to cut the quick and probably told her to come back regularly for nail trims to further push back the quicks, which obviously, she didn’t. BBJ’s nail were probably too long after the supposed Feb clip and she probably didn’t want use a scratching post after. However, this happens in all ages in cats, it’s simple neglect. At least when a cat is outside, they grind them down on asphalt and whatever they climb on but can still happen.

All this to say, she was most likely aware of an issue with her nails, ignored them and they grew back in and didn’t care. Another thing that sort of annoyed me, the fact that BBJ wasn’t given sedation for this most recent clip. She’s an older cat without recent bloodwork but an in-house CBC wouldn’t have taken long to run and BBJ could have had some comfort but I wasn’t there and not sure how they do things in Cankuckistan. I’m glad she’s out of pain.

Proof I was literally going to take BBJ and pay for the vet. I have CLEARLY told FFG many times I do not want her involved in any way in my life so it was highly wrong for her to do this. She is using BBJ as a pawn and exploiting the situation when I would have taken care of it so no she is not a savior but is emotionally manipulating her audience. I will post a video with all of the conversation which shows I had good faith that this woman who lied was fully caring for BBJ and if FFG had any involvement OF COURSE I would not have given her to this person and found another home.
