I doubt any woman actually hates Rowling, at least not the same, deranged way as troons do, but there will always be handmaidens and pickmes who think if they agree with the unhinged person, they won't meet the same fate. It's of course possible that they also generally have stupid opinions, but either way, while women can hate other women, I can't imagine any reason why it would be aimed at Rowling. This hasn’t been my experience. 95% of the enthusiastic enforcers of social justice stuff I know are women (or women who claim to be she/theys). Lots of women live to keep others in line and ostracize people who fall outside of their version of normal or correct. “Cancel culture” for lack of a better term is just the new, socially acceptable version of the sort of female social aggression that used to manifest as mean girls picking on someone for not wearing Abercrombie or gossipy church ladies.

I came across this article not long ago and it kinda helped me understand why I’ve found this behaviour so viscerally abhorrent since the days when it was confined to Tumblr, as someone who was the class girl-bullying punching bag as a kid. It reminds me of that.

(Tying it back to the Rowling discussion, it’s interesting that a lot of the female villains in Harry Potter - Umbridge, Mrs Dursley, the girls who bully Hermione - are that kind of villain, who try to ruin others’ lives for stepping out of line. I'm talking about specific RDS, raging about her on Twitter, writing these endless articles about her transphobic crimes and so on. Those are all troons and handmaidens. Maybe in your personal life, if you are surrounded by weirdo SJWs, they will cancel you in your friend group if you dare to say something positive about Rowling, but normies should not go all mean girls on you over Rowling.

Edit: I agree women are quicker to follow all the "right things" du jour (like pronouns in bio and other retarded things) and make it spread. And women also like to cancel other women on Twitter, YA seems to be a pretty good example for that. But if you look at the Rowling case, it's not 95% women cancel culture. They might repeat the whole "oh yeah, I guess she said something problematic", but the majority of hate comes from men.
I also think the women cancel culture picks their targets either within their peers or someone who is "below" them (like the unpopular girl in class, or one YA author trying to cancel another one within their community). But JKR is neither, they probably realize that she is mostly uncancellable and prefer to focus on more vulnerable targets.

I really hope this dipshit is just trolling because this might be the stupidest post about this game I've seen so far (and that's saying a lot). Pretty much every developer in existence who isn't already a juggernaut like Rockstar, COD devs etc. would fucking murder to have their game sell 12M copies in 2 weeks, because it is basically a studio/life-altering thing to have happen to you.
