His daily strips in recent years have been getting more political, taking swipes at wokeness, but always restricted to the storyline/setting of that office. Maybe he'll just start doing topical cartooning on whatever he wants now, reusing the characters since they're now recognizable archetypes you can use as shortcuts.

I suspect he felt restrained by the need to keep the Dilbert world intact for publishing, most people who read the strip aren't on Twitter/Locals and don't know what he's been doing. The stagnation in the strip had the benefit of not turning it divisive, keeping it out of the culture wars while Adams himself engaged in them a bit as a smug commentator. Now, assuming he kept the rights, he can use it more freely.

If cancel culture/black Twitter are trying to look intimidating, they're doing the opposite, at least for me.

It's primairly because he's intentionally tanking his career by posting on his main twitter "Black people are not worth the hassle - do not try and ever help or engage with Black people".

As a Ugandan and real African. Scott Raymond Adams didn't say anything wrong. If anything, he held back too much. African Americans are entitled spoiled fatherless children and the biggest racists on the planet. Africans and black Latinos stand behind you, Dilbert.
