Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Bakhmut is encircled now?
Yes.

Civilians are willingly being evacuated (By Russia/Wagner, not Ukraine) ahead of closing the cauldron and then destroying whatever's in there.
The locals are Russians The hohols have been non stop bitching about the ingratitude of the citizens of Bakhmut. Don't they understand the sacrifices they're making to defend them? So what if it's meant the complete destruction of their entire city.

Ukraine really needs to learn this old Chinese saying.
Keep men, lose land: land can be taken again. Keep land, lose men: land and men are both lost. – Mao Zedong

The Ukrainian army not evacuating away from the city to a better position while they still had time in Bakhumt is one of the most foolish decisions in this war.
That is what happens when you have leadership that cares far more about PR victories, propaganda, and western virtue signaling rather than trying to preserve the lives of his own men.

Diversity in its final form.
Emphasis on the DIE.

I see one of those lads was wearing a 5.11 beanie. They make great military cargo pants, bought a pair back at my first command, still wear them, pockets for days. I've also seen them wearing Mechanix gloves, they've got some quality gear.

Apparently UKR is amassing a force close to Moldova with the intention of attacking the Russian peace keeping contingent there, about 1500 men.

Russia has expressly warned against this course of action stating it will lead to bigger consequences, does anyone have any further information on this?
Hmm, nothing concrete..

The Yars column arrived from the Ivanovo region to the Moscow region to prepare for the May 9 Victory Parade. Personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"May 9 Victory Parade", sure, as they take the scenic route through Donbass kek

Well this guy reckons Ukraine is doing amazing and will soon launch a massive offensive which will pursue the Vatniks to the gates of Moscow.

OK maybe things in Bakhmut are a tad difficult but he totally expected the city to fall weeks ago (he didn't) and so from that perspective it's going better than expected

Not that anyone can blame him for the cope but here's another Ukrainian holed up in the west and not fighting for his country. He thinks that's fine because he has Danish citizenship so he's totally not a coward and it's fine for him to sit in safety while celebrating the deaths of hundreds of thousands in a Jew war that they have zero parts of fuck all chance of winning . Fuck these people.
that thumbnail is a new soyjak template. I always see faggoty Euros making it.

OT, but why the fuck are we surrounded by soyjaks these days? My father never looked like that. Nor did my grandfathers. I have a scruffy beard, but at least I balance that with a broken nose and some amusing scars.

What the fuck happened?

Wow, this has never ever happened before

I accidentally went to the other Russia War thread to look for news, but it's literally just users REEEEing about this thread. I dunno, this thread seems pretty neutral compared to some of the telegram groups my Balkan friends are in.
Last time I went there some dude was going on about the US having a nuclear first strike policy while the Russians dont - and he meant that as a positive for the US. If this does escalate to WW3 my only wish is that its the bloodthirsty retards who take the brunt of it.
The funniest thing. It's straight out of Russian/Soviet playbook. Which Serbs employed against NATO. Fake bridges, fake armor, fake SAM sites, etc. Out of all sorts of material. With some having their own signatures, both in IR and radio waves spectrum by using simple heat pipes and even bonfire to microwaves and even mimicking radar emissions of SAM sites by using spare radars, along with other makeshift means.

It was very effective coupled with Serbian SAM operators dismaying and disrupting NATO tracking and targeting of Serbian army in Kosovo. And while Serb SAM operators might have fired over something like 700+ surface to air missiles and brought down only a dozen or so planes from manned and mostly unmanned.

The fact is those Serbian SAM systems, that where already familiar and compromised systems to NATO like SA-2, SA-3, SA-6 and SA-9, SA-13 along with some field modded IR guided air to air missiles into a SAM system and bunch of non radar guided AA guns. Still kept NATO pilots on their toes. And interrupted and disrupted NATO air force every time those SAM systems fired. Which allowed Serbs in Kosovo to retaining most of their ground forces and the ability move their forces around.

Decoys and SAM systems is what made NATO eventually force to spread it's bombing out to economic and military targets in Serbia, . . because they're attempt to destroy the Serb military like i said in Kosovo, which was they´re original campaign objective, fail miserably.

And even then Serbs actually did effectively overcame the first NATO bombing campaign of Serbia against at least military targets, but ultimately in the follow up campaign, Serbs were just too badly outmatched to stop the second one especially against civilian targets (in Serbia) due simply that Serbs hadn't the equipment to protect both it´s army in Kosovo and it´s military infrastructure in Serbia along the civilian infrastructure of Serbia.

Anyway

As far as inflatable decoys. For Russians and Swedes it´s nothing new.

Along with decoys for planes and other shit. The Fabric used is capable of reflecting radio waves, radar reflectors can be used along with heat traps and piping to create a IR signature. Fake com traffic can be created, etc, etc.
As far as I know the USSR was the only country with a full on manual for creating decoys when ww2 started. There is even an old Soviet comedy film about some civillians running an airfield in WW2 with a bunch of Rube Golderberg like decoys.

Tokayev met with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken
- Your visit is particularly important in terms of building momentum. I would like to express our appreciation for the continued and strong U.S. support for our independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty," the president said.

Blinken thanked Tokayev for his hospitality and gave him warm words of welcome from the president of the United States.
- We have a strong relationship and it will only grow stronger. We are committed to that. We appreciate the fact that you have gathered your Central Asian partners here in Astana today. I hope that we, together with our colleagues who are foreign ministers, will engage in even more concrete work to unify the region. That will benefit both the people of Central Asia and the United States. We intend to engage at the highest level. I'm very happy to be here and contribute to the strengthening of our cooperation," Blinken said.
Tokayev extended his best wishes to Biden.

Some food for thought

The Economist published this?

For sure they're starting to distance themselves. Not because Zelensky is now drafting handicapped people and children into his army to go die for Ukraine Jewish oligarchs and the US State Department but because no one likes to be associated with a loser.

Now it's a good time to test out whether having AKs strapped to your forearms and firing them down range is an effective strategy or not. Hell, if some poor sod is missing a leg we'll have articles writing about how Peg Leg Kalashnikov of the Ukrainian Army shoot down 50 Wagnerites with a single magazine.
