It's interesting, though, how Tolkien didn't get attacked even for 'bad dwarves' like Thorin, who threatened his entire people by wanting the Arkenstone. Then again, Tolkien is male (and dead) and they don't have a hard on for him as they do JKR. In ASOIAF, the Iron Bank of Braavos is viewed as one of the most ruthless, richest banks around, staffed by the most conniving people in the Free Cities. That is very 'Jewish coded'. Again, no attacks there. There's a pattern there I am clearly missing.

Not really, there are tons of shitlords that are into that series, including Linda Antonsson, a superfan that is one of his coauthors for a World of Ica and Fire and the Rise of the Targaryans.

There would be an endless amount of screeching though if he ever said anything impolitic, to be sure. Not that he's likely to. He's a huge coward, so cowardly that his self insert into his own series, Samwell Tarly, is portrayed as the biggest coward imaginable.

They're not angry with Rowling because she hurt trans people - she didn't - they are angry with her because she stood up to them and that diminishes their power.

I'm talking about this to friends now and I'm so so so so tired. Apparently this vtuber has not done a single terrible thing and people loved her and then this happens. Both HL and the "witch trials of rowling" podcast have been excellent normie peaking material. The podcast especially, has been well done and does an great job so far of slowly building up to the trans stuff in an easy , even for a boomer, to digest and understand format.

And let's face it, people love watching trainwrecks. The more the troons keep letting the mask slip, the more the public will feel emboldened to laugh without fear of consequences.

I cannot wait for the inevitable online seething that will result as each new episode is released.
