About the labs engineering problem, that's a Linus autistic sperging, the reason why GN doesn't spent as much as him and do professional reviews, is because they didn't hired an audio/electrical engineer that knows how to work with the equipment but bought the equipment, played with a lot and pay training for him and other people from GN to operate it making it way cheaper, second, Linus is going all in on the labs, while GN is going piece by piece. Linus will ended up having a negative ROI just because he's biting more than he can chew

At this point a lot of their early off-screen employees have left. I couldn't repeat them all by name because I don't care enough to remember the names of employees at YouTuber company, but Brandon left, Taran left, that one guy died last year and there was another handful of high-profile talent that left in the last 12 months. It doesn't seem like they're replacing them with new high-profile talent either, just a bunch of tech losers.

I watch TechLinked and ShortCircuit mostly and all of the new-ish hosts they've been fronting on those channels have the charisma of a fetid dumpster. Off the top of my head these two freaks are just controversies waiting to happen when they accidentally like some jailbait or underage hentai porn from their Twitter accounts. I can't stand to hear them talk and I don't trust their opinions on things.

I haven't seen him on ShortCircuit in a while and digging into the comments people didn't seem to like him either.

The other weirdo I can't stand is this guy who I think has only shown up twice so far on TechLinked only. He's hideously ugly and unfunny but I don't have anything else to say about him.



The comments seem mostly praise-worthy because LTT fans tend to be mindless consoomers, but some of them stood out as funny to me.

I gave up on Techlinked when Riley kept being more political and annoying, using it as a demo reel for him. I didn't even know there's this new guy who has to pretend his personality is just "fat Weird Al." That last comment about not funny people teaching a new generation how to not be funny is 100%. That David guy is usually the camera operator and is some mega faggot virtue signaler, he paints his nails because he's poly demi whatever the fuck is the trend right now.

More and more I just watch GN and Jay. One good thing in the tech world is Austin Evans seems to have plateau'd, he thought he could move into a new office and have more channels like Linus but is capping out an awful lost at ~500k views after weeks, when he used to hit or approach 1 million a lot before the brand expansion (and hiring more dangerhairs and diversity hires).

GN is good because they are very methodical in their reviews, and also Steve has some actual journalistic integrity which is a very rare sight nowadays. You watch GN to actually get some info on the hardware, not for entertainment.

Meanwhile Wendell's channel suffers from the issue where all the actual content gets drowned out by their news recaps, where you can have a couple a week, and you need to use something like BlockTube to filter that out. Jay is replacing Linus in terms of just seeing new reviews and actual builds I would try myself if I needed a new computer, the normie-ness of him is tolerable to me, and I like his builds and going to Micro Center more. I also like how his two employees are actual nerdy guys who don't really think they'll be the next youtube star, they're happy working alongside Jay (and it seems like he treats them well). I pick my GN videos more on background listening. I'll try out level 1 when I want to learn some stuff.

I do agree I don't give a shit about watercooling and wish it would disappear, Linus' new video is the AMD graphics card 30 day challenge and of course it's another video that's more about dealing with the faggy watercooling in their rigs, now with more annoying Jake as another person doing the "challenge." And Linus corrupted his windows install turning the power on and off too many times while it was trying to update. They make everything much more difficult than it needs to be.

I can't prove it, but willing to bet Linus bought the building in a haste. That video where it was mostly him and Yvonne doing the walkthrough of their new building and how much it cost; he paid like two million in an inflated market, and I'm willing to bet he didn't have a long thought/planning process to determine how shit is going to go. He didn't go in with tape measures and get the dimensions of the offices and other places, or the plans to know how shit is currently wired and what additions/modifications they'll need to do for their plans. Willing to bet he also waived or sped through the real estate buying process (something you should never do). He saw a space, liked it, gave Yvonne a proper dicking to get her to say yes, and now he's hemmorraging money due to being a low impulse leaf nigger.

And this is shit you need to do, and I know I harp a lot about his entire team being niggers when it comes to servers; but you have a server stack, maybe you'll have two eventually. Those things need a controlled environment; meaning you'll need better than average HVAC, meaning unless there's a pre-made server room, you'll have to do it yourself, and take shit like hot/cold sides of the building during the seasons, noise pollution, should it be elevated due to possibly being in a flood zone, and other shit into account. There is a lot of shit most people don't think of when buying homes, and that list only gets bigger when you're buying commercial property... and Linus "Faggot" Sebastian just fucking whatevered it.

North american salaries are just fucking crazy. 60k USD a year for a writer? Like holy shit that what a masters degree mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experince would get over here. Like even if I assume that the 60k is in canuckistan kopecks you still make more then I did at my first engineering job. I was paid around 3600 dollars (in SEK, before taxes) at a rather prestigous company. After taxes I think it was around 2700ish. While these people just half ass a script every week sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

A company I previously worked for imported an early 2000's CNC plasma cutter from america and from the start it was nothing but trouble. One thing it would frequently do while cutting 8mm or thicker steel was to lose controll of it self and just ram in to the side of the enclosure. The computer would just say "connection lost" and then off it went! Im gonna assume it was due to improper sheilding of cables due to our voltages being a lot higher then america.

Salaries in Europe, outside a few places, haven't really kept up with inflation over the years. My first engineering job back in the mid 2000's was the equivalent of about $65K in 2022 dollars. It's why I peaced out from the country I'm from about ten years ago.
